  1. Item: Linn Majik Isobarik in Rosenut Location: Sydney Price: $3900 $3800 $3700 $3600 (RRP $8795) + shipping costs Item Condition: Excellent, apart from some minor marks on the base plate, and the one corner has a slight imperfection. (See pictures) Reason for selling: I'd like to only have cherry or black gloss coloured speakers from now on. Also the bass is too strong for my room. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Bank Transfer, Paypal (+2.6%) Extra Info: These go very deep and has very low bass distortion due to the isobarik configuration. They can sound a bit heavy in a room smaller than around 5m x 5m, but balance out in rooms around that size or bigger. An omni-directional bass output makes the speaker less sensitive to placement. They would also suit someone who wants a speaker for both music and home theatre; you wouldn't need a subwoofer. I've tried them without issues on the following amplifiers: (in 4 ohm as these as 4 ohm speakers) Naim Nait XS2 (100W) Rotel RB-991 (300W) Musical Fidelity A3.2 CR (225W) Cyrus Stereo 200 (325W) DIY push pull Kt150 tube (100W) These speakers have the option to be upgraded either to active, or partially active. In partially active only the bass drivers are active, and could then be driven on a much smaller amplifier. In passive mode they can be quad amplified, with four separate binding posts per speaker. I have the boxes, but shipping might cost a lot as they are 34kg each. Local pickup is possible too. Information from Linn: http://small.linncdn.com/product-catalogue/documents/Linn_Majik_Isobarik_Product_Information.pdf
  2. Item: Jamo D830 speakers in Oak Location: Sydney Price: $1500 $1300 $1200 $1100 + shipping costs Item Condition: Excellent. (See pictures) Reason for selling: I'd like to only have cherry or black gloss coloured speakers from now on. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Bank Transfer, Paypal (+2.6%) Extra Info: Selling my almost as new condition Jamo D830s as I'm moving towards having only cherry wood and black gloss in my Hi-Fi. These were a limited edition in Oak real wood veneer. Although they are rated in 4 ohm, they are very easy to drive and are sensitive at 90db/W@1m. I believe they would work well with class A tube amplifiers. I've tried them without an issue on the following amplifiers: (in 4 ohm as these are 4 ohm speakers) Naim Nait 5si (90W) Naim Nait XS2 (100W) Naim SuperNait 2 (135W) Roksan Caspian M2 (125W) Rotel RB-991 (300W) Rotel RB-1080 (300W) Rotel RA-870BX (120W) Rotel RA-820 (30W) Musical Fidelity A3.2 CR (225W) They are punchy and extended in the bass, with -3db at 38Hz. I have the original boxes and manual, and can ship. Packed together in the box weighs around 25kg. You can also pickup in Sydney.
  3. Item: Bang & Olufsen Beolab 8000 Mk2 Location: Hawthorn, Vic Price: $2700 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Fund raising Payment Method: Pickup - Cash Extra Info: The Beolab 8000 look good in any room and have great WAF! These are in immaculate condition and have absolutely no marks on the frets. Details and info can be found at https://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=802 s/n 1768xxxx Pictures:
  4. Item: Thiel MCS1 Speaker Location: Sydney Northern Beaches Price: $1000 Item Condition: Very good outside condition. Both the woofers have some deformities. See photos. Reason for selling: Not being used. Need funds Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: As can be seen on the photos both the 6.5inch woofers had the dust cap pushed inwards. As it is a aluminium driver, when I pulled them back out it did leave some visual marks. The marks do not affect the sound of the speaker and you can use the speaker cover and will never know there is a visual annoyance from the dust caps. Some specs: Nominal Power: 300 Watt RMS; Magnetic Shielding: Magnetically Shielded; Speakers Function: Main / Stereo; Construction: 3-Way; Connectivity: Cable; Frequency Reponse: 47 Hz - 23 kHz; Sensitivity: 90 dB; Woofer Size: 6.5; Woofer Material: Metal; Tweeter Size: 1; Midrange Size: 3.5; Cabinet Finish: Metallic & wood. It is hand made in USA and has the signature of the person who made it in the back. Its got a beautiful wood finish and this this is heavy, 34kg. they weigh the same as my much bigger Kef R900 floorstander. These retailed $3000usd each. There is a pair on eBay for $3500 currently (second hand) so $1000 justifies the asking price. Was originally going to be used as a centre speaker for a home theatre setup as its perfect for laying down horizontally. Pictures:
  5. Item: Paradigm Titan V.6 Location: Perth Price: 400 Firm Item Condition: 9.5/10 Reason for selling: Moving house and moving from 4 lots of speakers to 1. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Great speakers, I absolutely love these but it came down to do i need to get stands and put these in the new house or keep my reference grade floorstanders. (WAF chose pretty floorstanders). Please excuse the burry photos a bit as i have shaky hands. Were bought new from Eastwood hifi a couple of years back and the V.6 was the last to do the titan monitors as well as being the last ones built in Canada instead of China. Pictures:
  6. Item: Q Acoustics Concept 20 Speakers - Gloss Black Location: Sth Gold Coast Price: SOLD (+ shipping) Buyer to cover Paypal fees if paying by credit / debit card. I recently priced shipping to Adelaide and that was ~ $30 so cost is not prohibitive to eastern metro areas. Item Condition: Near mint Reason for selling: NLR Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Purchased new by me from Dennis Edwards about 12 - 18 months ago. Light use since then. I bought these as an interim speaker between KEF LS50s and a pair of Dynaudio X12s I was hunting down and finally found. All these have different strengths and weakness but I was extremely happy with the 20s even compared to the others. Considering the price difference the 20s stand up very well. This is good explanation of my experience http://www.whathifi.com/q-acoustics/concept-20/review I think proven doped paper driver and silk tweeter combined with the engineering of the cabinet is a great design. 7. Item: Dynaudio Contour SC centre speaker in Rosewood Location: Sydney Price: $1650 NEW PRICE $1150 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Downsized to a 2-channel set-up due to moving Payment Method: Paypal Extra Info: An amazing centre channel with depth and clarity. I've moved to a small residence and currently have no need for a surround sound set-up hence the sale. The unit is 3 years old but was used for less than 2.5 years as I moved earlier this year. It is in excellent condition and comes with everything in the box. Retail price is currently listed as $3400 so this is a screaming bargain. Buyer pays for shipping but I'll eat the Paypal fees. Below are the specs: Sensitivity: 86 dB (2,83 V/1 m) IEC Power Handling: 150 W Impedance: 4 Ohms Frequency Response: 65 Hz – 25 kHz (± 3 dB) Box Principle: 2-way bass-reflex Crossover Frequency: 1400 Hz Weight: 10.3 kg Dimensions (W x H x D): 490 x 160 x 303 mm NB: features high-quality gold-plated WBT binding posts. 9. Item: KLIPSCH C-3 150W Centre Speaker Location: adelaide Price: $130 Item Condition: used Reason for selling: changing my set up Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal/bank transfer Extra Info: Klipsch C-3 Centre Speaker for sale. This is the higher level, twin 6.5" woofer model rated at 150w RMS not the smaller C-1 and C-2 units. The cloth dust grill has seen better days but still connects and protects. I never use grills anyway as i like to hear uninterrupted sound. Kept covered when not in use, pet, child, dust free room. The C-3 features two 6.5 inch woofers (magnetically shielded so they don't put purple splotches on your TV screen), a one inch magnetically shielded aluminum-dome tweeter and the horn. It's also bi-wirable that doesn't add any color to your other front speakers. The C-3 is great for reproducing dialogue and centre channel information. The C-3's frequency response is 73Hz - 23kHz +/-3dB, its power handling is 150 watts continuous and its sensitivity is a robust 96.5 decibels, so you wont need a monster avr to drive this centre. cash on pickup or can post (I usually use "e go couriers" ) at buyers cost. .. i live in adelaide Packing.. I will use an older klipsch s-3 centre box. these were made very thick. i have original internal foam and will extra pad for the slightly different shape of the the c3 centre vs the older s3 centre. box size 690x340x300 weight 10kg.... approx fee to city centres.. melb $16, syd $17, bris $17 etc Pictures:
  10. Item: Linn Majik Isobarik in Rosenut Location: Sydney Price: $3900 $3400 (RRP $8795) + shipping costs Item Condition: Excellent, apart from some minor marks on the base plate, and the one corner has a slight imperfection. (See pictures) Reason for selling: Moving towards a different colour and price band. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Bank Transfer, Paypal (+2.6%) Extra Info: These go very deep and has very low bass distortion due to the isobarik configuration. An omni-directional bass output makes the speaker less sensitive to placement. They would also suit someone who wants a speaker for both music and home theatre; you wouldn't need a subwoofer. In partially active only the bass drivers are active, and could then be driven on a much smaller amplifier. In passive mode they can be quad amplified, with four separate binding posts per speaker. 11. Item: Sonus Faber Cremona (dark grey) Location: Kelvin Grove, Brisbane Price: $4,900 $4400 Item Condition: Excellent, see below Reason for selling: Need cash for other hobby Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Original version, complete with dust covers and boxes. The grilles are made of elastic strings; however, these have lost their elasticity over the years and I do not use them (would be easy to restring though). Condition is very good, however a careless removalist managed to slightly dent the side of the left speaker (pictured). It is barely noticeable, but needs to be mentioned for full disclosure! The boxes are getting a bit old now, so would prefer local pickup. If you would like to arrange a courier, that would be fine so long as you accept responsibility for loss/damage/insurance, etc. If you have any questions, comments, etc then please PM - please do not post below, thanks. 12. Item: WLM Diva Monitors in Tineo + Diva Control Location: Castlemaine, VIC Price: $3,500. Item Condition: Good, except for two small faults that I should see (photos). The stands are tupac MDF and the finish is fine from a distance, but on closer inspection there are some scrapes from vacuum clearers etc Reason for selling: Downsizing Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal (+ fee), COD, bank transfer Extra Info: These were essentially dealer demos and I've owned them~3 years. I'd lusted over them to a long time so couldn't resist when a pair became available. However, I could never choose between these are the Adam actives I already had (they are both great speakers in different ways). Now I find I don't listen to music enough to justify keeping either pair and am downsizing. They look stunning and the photos do not do them justice: excellent craftsmanship and the veneer is matched to make each speaker pair more-or-less identical. The included Diva Control sits between the Pre and Power amps, giving a notable boost to the bass. The binding posts are WBT and the dial on the back allows treble adjustment. The stands are made in Australia based on the recommended dimensions from WLM, and were provided by the dealer. I'm told this is because importing the Liedtke stands usually paid with the Divas would have made the combo prohibitively expensive. The Liedtke stands are works of art in themselves; these ones are functional and unobtrusive. This 6 Moons review provides all the information you need: http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/wlm/divamonitor.html Newer MkIIs sold by Audio Addiction, although I don't believe the Divas are made any more: http://audioaddiction.net.au/shop/wlm-diva I have the original packaging for the speakers, so happy to courier, but there never were boxes for the stands which are heavy and bulky. Pickup/audition is OK. I can also deliver/audition in Melbourne - I am there most weeks. Reasonable offers welcome. Pictures:
  13. Item: Polk TSx220B Bookshelf Speakers. Location: Croydon Price: $250 $200 ONO Item Condition: Near Mint Reason for selling: Surplus to requirements Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I'm the second owner, maximus was running as a temp setup, I upgraded after two months when I found something bi-wirable, so also running as a temp setup. Great all round speaker, perfectly happy with blast beats or orchestral crescendos. Demos welcome will retake blurry photos on request, should have cropped them before i reboxed them. Will post, I have original boxes. Preference goes to local buyer though. Only marked as near mint as they're used. Full specs here: http://www.polkhome.com.au/collections/bookshelf/products/tsx-220b-bookshelf-speakers Original sale thread here:

  21. Item: ADS CM-6 bookshelf monitors Location: ACT Price: $270 (add another $50 for shipping within Australia if not local to ACT) Item Condition: Mint Condition Reason for selling: Not needed any more Payment Method: Pickup or local delivery within ACT - Cash, Paypal if interstate Extra Info: Hi All, I'm selling this A/D/S CM-6 bookshelf monitors. They are extremely accurate and punch much harder than their size would imply (once you pick one up, you'll understand why - they are heavy!) I don't know the exact year they were made, but I do have the following info: - 1 inch soft domed tweeter ("ferrofluid filled parabolic soft dome") - 5 inch woofer, sealer box (acoustic suspension) - Beautiful mids, airy treble, tight, detailed bass (surprisingly deep and tight if you feed them enough power). - 'Plasti-crete' (some form of inert resin housing), quite heavy for their size (approx. 20lb/9kg each) - 33cm H, 19cm W, 24cm D - the back of the speakers say "4 ohm, 80W/120W RMS" - Made in Germany Pictures: see attached to this post. Thanks for looking!
  22. Item: Gale GS401A Speakers A Location: MELBOURNE (3195) Price: $1500 Item Condition: Fair consider its age Reason for selling: moving to a new hobby aka cinematography Payment Method: Pickup - Cash Extra Info: Resurrected my old FS thread. I will take more recent picture when my new camera arrives. I picked these up approximately 3 year ago from an old lady whose husband was the original owner since the late 70. All the driver was checked and refoamed and the crossover was recapped back in December 2015 by Atilla Tanka. He mentioned giving 5 years warranty for his work so I can assist if the need ever arises for future owner. I listened to the advices given to me by others and kept these beauty for another 2 years but I found a new hobby in travel and film making so time to get rid of all the extra weight. The stands in the picture will be included. Pictures:

  24. Item : Marten Mile 3 Speakers Location: Melbourne (northern burbs) Price: $xxx FIRM (Original RRP for speakers $18k). Can ship at buyers cost. Item Condition: Excellent. All boxes, manuals, accessories etc. Reason for selling: Downsizing home. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Comfortably the best speakers I've owned. I'm not selling to 'upgrade' (which I couldn't afford to do given how much you have to spend to get something better); rather am downsizing homes and getting out of the game. These partner equally well with tube and solid state amplifiers (I have used both). Over the years I have spent many hours inspecting a LOT of secondhand equipment on the market, and I feel this is an important point (especially at this price, which despite being excellent value, I know is not 'cheap'). When purchasing equipment, I have always shown extreme prejudice in making decisions around the condition of equipment. My HiFi philosophy is simple, buy superb gear in pristine condition, for an excellent price. People who purchase from me, benefit from this approach! Frequency range / 29-40000 Hz +-3dB Power rating / 250 W Sensitivity / 91 dB/w/m Impedance / 4 ohm (3.8 ohms min) Type / Ported system, port resonance 27 Hz Drive units / 2x7” ceramic, 1” ceramic Crossover frequency / Second order, 2800 Hz Terminals / Bi-wiring, heavy duty Internal wiring / Jorma Design Stands / Steel with steel spikes Dimensions (WxHxD) / 220 x 1160 x 320 mm (8.6” x 45.7” x 12.6”) Net weight / 30 kg (67 lbs) Pictures:
  25. Item: Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) DM330 Floor Standing Speakers (Upgraded tweeters with professional crossover rebuild) Location: Sth Gold Coast - Pick-up only Price: $150 Item Condition: Very good for age. There is a few blemishes here and there but not really noticeable unless you are pretty close up. I have photographed the worst of it – the vinyl missing on the back corner looks a lot bigger in the picture than in the flesh. New grills professionally covered using quality cloth from Soundlabs. Please see extra info below regarding tweeter upgrade and recent crossover rebuild by the Speaker Specialist (aka Geisler Audio). Reason for selling: NLR Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal (+ any fees) Extra Info: I bought these from the Speaker Specialist (aka Geisler Audio) earlier in the year after Clay had made a few improvements. Here is the original ad which the following has been taken from. They are advertised elsewhere but I thought someone might like for a garage system or man cave. The cabinets are actually MDF construction with no joint separation anywhere. It was a 2.5 way design using di-cast woofers with rubber surrounds all in good nick. The tweeters have been replaced with an older series Peerless HD version. These were the top Peerless tweeter at the time. I am fairly confident I can find the original tweeters which are both working and will also supply these also. Rear terminals have been replaced with new good quality binding posts. Crossovers have had all caps replaced - Solen Poly Prop in tweeter section. As mentioned above I have replaced the grilles with quality cloth in Dove Grey. Dimensions: 857 x 290 x 320mm Sensitivity: 91dB I also have for sale a vintage amp in great condition which I was using with these. Pictures:
