  6. Further information: Looking to sell these JBL L112 speakers to a passionate collector who appreciates the historical value of it. You rarely find this model in the market for sale and eBay is 2k plus. The JBL L112 is an improved version over the famous L100 from the brand. Not in a rush to sell, low ballers will be ignored. The physical condition is a 6/10, due to age but I have opened up the crossovers recently to change a spoilt resistor. That is why the labels have been torn out as I need to remove the volume pots. The labels are still kept and can be glued back. See images for before it was torn out and after. One of the mid range cones is dented but sound not affected. A great all rounder speaker that rocks the house with any genre of music. Will throw in a pair of free third party midrange drivers with this purchase for you to experiment with the sound signature. Selling them as I like to change speakers around and these are too heavy for me to move. Please note that each side is 25kg and you need to ask a friend to help you carry down 5 floors, there is no lift in my house. The speaker stands are not included and are a custom pine wood build. Top up $100 for stands. Collection near Lavender area. Contact 9-seven-8-8-zero-two-3-0. Thank you. 12. Further information: Hi, I'm selling these as I have another pair of speakers in use. My father bought these new in the early-mid 2000s. I can audition them, although my amplifier won't be able to drive them to the power levels they are capable of. They still sound great. Paradigm Reference Studio 80 v2 Speakers in Awesome Condition Black Woodgrain Laminate. Hard to part with these speakers because they are very flat true natural accurate and Powerful. By Paradigm: Gorgeous Reference Collection Studio 80 v2 Towers from Paradigm, offering great transparency, excellent soundstage, good bass extension, smooth, silky highs thanks to the "pure aluminum dome" tweeters, and well-balanced midrange. It will be very difficult to part with these beauties, the final and most desirable model in the Studio 80 line. Not only do they look great, and sound fantastic, they are very rare in the used market (particularly in this pleasing Black Ash finish), and the v2's are very well reviewed, frequently favored over more expensive models. This series and model were still built in Canada, so quality is very high, and the speakers boast dual pairs of banana plug-friendly 5-way bindings. 19. Simon (niss_man) has designed and built these book shelf speakers and he has asked me to have a listen to them and then let him know my thoughts. So, with my speaker reviewing training wheels on, here we go. These ZLB (which stands for "Zeus Learner Bookshelf" speakers, I imagine any more refined model will get a name that rolls off the tongue a little easier) speakers have been designed by Simon as a project (and learning experience, hence the name) to see how well he can do on the first try and to see how certain design aspects can work when they are carried through to completion. They have a 17mm MDF construction all the way around with a 3mm steel plate epoxied to each side, top and bottom, and a steel frame on the front for the drivers to screw in to. The crossover is mounted on the rear interior and the rear board is screwed in place into a steel frame that is mounted around the interior edge. Some construction photos. The drivers are a Scanspeak 18w/8434 woofer and a Dayton esoteric ES25nd-4. As you can see from the pics above Simon has used a single bracing rod from side to side, it is also easy to see that they are rear ported. Such an enclosure should be pretty rigid but still light enough to enable the speaker to be carried around without seriously straining your back. These speakers are a proof of concept exercise and Simon has emailed me a powerpoint presentation that he has put together that covers the reasons he has chosen this design and what the pros and cons of such a design and construction are. It is interesting reading, although it does leave me in the dark a little with some of the terminology. But how do they sound? Well, I'm glad you asked. With the similarities to some of Mike Lenehans designs and driver choice you may expect the ZLBs to sound fairly similar, and in some ways they do, but they also don't. More details and clarification to follow (probably) but for now I'm going to put this first post up and give Simon a chance to correct me on anything before I move on to the sound side of things. Back soon!

  21. Item: Gale GS401A Speakers A Location: MELBOURNE (3195) Price: $1500 Item Condition: Fair consider its age Reason for selling: moving to a new hobby aka cinematography Payment Method: Pickup - Cash Extra Info: Resurrected my old FS thread. I will take more recent picture when my new camera arrives. I picked these up approximately 3 year ago from an old lady whose husband was the original owner since the late 70. All the driver was checked and refoamed and the crossover was recapped back in December 2015 by Atilla Tanka. He mentioned giving 5 years warranty for his work so I can assist if the need ever arises for future owner. I listened to the advices given to me by others and kept these beauty for another 2 years but I found a new hobby in travel and film making so time to get rid of all the extra weight. The stands in the picture will be included. Also link to my ebay listing in case people want to take advantage of their 5% off code PLUG5 Disclaimer: I actually listed it under the pay no fee offer from ebay . So financially it makes no difference for me . The only reason i keep mentioning ebay is due to all their offer which some people might not be aware of. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/705-53470-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575378759&campid=5338273189&customid=&icep_item=392129363525&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229515&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg&toolid=11111 Pictures:
