Hi, I thought I'd put this here for anyone it may help. I've found a replacement tweeter for Kef XQ line of speakers as the original is no longer available. The original part number of the tweeters in my XQ40 is XQ MK2 SP1570. The new part number I've found is SVC-TW+CI160QR. Which is a tweeter out a line of their current custom install range. I was able to order it directly from the distributor. These tweeters are almost identical, the only difference noticeable is the original has a chrome waveguide and suitabley long wires, where as the new tweeter has a matt finish waveguide and shorter wires. See photos. I simply unsolered the wires and resoldered the long wires onto the new tweeter and it worked no problem. I assume this tweeter would also work with other older Kef models, but I am not sure.

Hi all, I have a pair of XQ40 speakers both with distorting tweeters. They were originally not working at all, after dismantling I had found wires from the diaphragms had broken at the solder joint. After resoldering they sounded fine for a while but now distort. I replaced the ferrofluid but that hasn't helped. I found new diaphragms on eBay that supposedly were to suit these speakers but the voice coils are too short so they don't enter the magnet enough (if at all) and are very quiet. I contacted the Australian Kef distributor but they don't have any spares. Part No: XQ MK2 SP1570 Does anyone know where I might find some replacements or know of another model that has compatible tweeters instead? I've noticed some of their in wall speakers look like they have an identical tweeter. Does anyone know? Thanks, Byron

Subwoofer is very powerful but compact, best of both worlds

I am selling: 2 x KEF Q300 bookshelf speakers in black. 2 x KEF Q100 bookshelf speakers in black. 1 x KEF Q200c centre speaker in black. 4 x speaker stands with custom made black gloss perspex mounting shelves (to fit bookshelf speakers). I am selling this as a set but would consider selling separately. I used this as my hi-fi and home theatre set up running off a Marantz receiver. I truly loved using this setup, but my current home does not accommodate or suit this kind of speaker set up. I’d always hoped to use them again, but that seems highly unlikely, so it’s time to send them off to a new home. The pictures show how I had it all set up immediately before I wrapped them up and stored them. The most striking visual feature is the Uni-Q driver that is unique to KEF. You definitely want to use them without the grilles to showcase that stunning piece of industrial design. I expect that if you are looking for something like this, you know that KEF offer bang for buck and this series racked up a number of awards for best bookshelf speakers from many respected magazines. Hey guys, I had a great setup of the Arcam FMJ A19 with the KEF LS50's. Looking to upgrade to the LS50 Meta's. Does anyone know if an amp like the FMJ A19 will still hold up well with the Meta's? My existing KEF setup has a dud speaker, got the speaker cone replaced (KEF authorised repairer), but didn't test it out for a while and the repair didn't work ( 3 month warranty by the repairer) Any help or suggestions would be greatly welcomed! Additionally any other speakers that also pair really well with the FMJ A19 would be welcomed too. Thanks all!

Further Information: I am the second owner. Originally bought from Addicted to Audio in January 2020 (RPP $1,500, I have copy of the invoice). I bought them in February 2020 and loved them ever since. They are in great condition. The come with original packaging, documentation and foam "socks" . Further information: Kef Q150 bookshelf speakers in black. Excellent condition as they were only used for ~3 months before I caught the bug. I would have labelled as mint condition but for noticing a small dent on a top edge of one speaker. Comes with grills which are typically purchased separately. Comes with all original accessories and original packaging. As these are entry level speakers I would rather not audition, but if there's little interest I could be convinced. Pick up in Potts Point

Further information: Limited edition version of the legendary all in one speakers. Everything works perfectly with rock solid wireless connection. Condition is near perfect as you can see in pictures. There are swirls like any black piano gloss speakers (or car) would have on the body you can only see if you’re really looking - but I’m sure this can be buffed out. Comes with original special edition box, power cables, Ethernet cable, but no remote unfortunately - you can get a spare for not too much money but I’ve personally never used it anyway. Hi All, I have acquired 2 pair of Kef speakers. One a clone built many years ago. The other is like a ported ls3/5a. Any experts out there to tell me more. One pair might be put up for sale. Both sets sound fantastic.
