  9. Further Information: These speakers were used in my second system and had low hours, original packaging and in mint condition, Grill covers included. Emit 20 is a high-performance standmountspeaker derived from our Evoke, Contour i and Confidence series. It gives a stellar combination of detail and punch for small to medium-sized rooms. Mid/bass power and control Emit 20 uses an 18cm MSP (Magnesium Silicate Polymer) woofer, based on the one we’ve used in the Evoke series. MSP is a material we developed in-house, and have used for many years on our most renowned models. The cone itself is a one-piece design; the dust-cap is moulded as part of the playing surface, which gives it a solid connection to the voice-coil that moves it back and forth. You’ll hear that connection as supreme control and detail in the low and midrange frequencies. The voice-coil itself is aluminium, wound onto a two-layer glass-fibre former. We’ve a long history of using aluminium wire in our voice-coils –and for good reason. It’s light, so doesn’t impede fine movement, and we can get more windings on the former for a given length of wire. That means more ‘BL’, or magnetic power. More power means more punch. We’ve boosted that further, too, by coating the aluminium wire in copper. Combined with the stacked ferrite magnet system and new surround, that gives Emit 20’s long-throw mid/bass driver all the bass power you could want, even at high volumes, combined with amazing control over midrange frequencies (where instruments such as guitars, vocals and violins reside). Low ballers will be ignored (sorry) I would rather keep them if that's the case. Solid Steel Stands are not included, however, these are for sale so make me an offer. 10. Further Information: Hi All, I have bought these speakers yesterday after being blown away at audition, but unfortunately wife is not happy with the spending, so selling them. The box is sealed and unopened. I don't think I need to give any introduction to these but would just mention that they look and sound as amazing as all the reviews. Should also mention that receipt can be provided and Dynaudio transfers the warranty to new owner. They have an 8 year warranty. Please let me know if you have any questions.
  11. Further Information: Used as desktop speakers for sometime, with some very light scratches consistent with that use (see pics). No longer have a desktop setup, so now sitting in the box collecting dust! Comes in the box, including port foam bungs if you wanted to use them . Tweeters look like they need a light clean/dust but otherwise in great condition.

  13. Item: Dynaudio Contour S3.4 Location: Point Cook VIC 3030 Price: $2500 Item Condition: EC Reason for selling: Not suiting my room / amp sold / returning to tubes Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I purchased these a few weeks ago from another SNA member (see attached ad). I was using my Music Fidelity M6i to run them as they are Imped-4 ohm and Senstvty-86db which was no problem for the amp to run. They sounded very musical and detailed to me, but my room is just too small and I have moved on the amp and staying with my tubes. There are a few minor scuffs and blemishes. A couple are from the magnetic grills on/off at some stage by a previous owner. Many of the other blemishes looks to be able to be cleaned with an appropriate solution if it bothered you. Prices has been reflected and accounted for this. The MF M6i amp now looks to be sold to another member which places my back into my tube monoblocks and Spendors which is more suited to my listening, room and musicality. My monoblocks just doesn't have the grunt to drive the Dynaudio's. Don't need any reviews as most people will know of the quality of Dynaudio products. Happy to freight for interstate buyers but there were no original boxes so it'd be best to get your quotes from PacknSend and request appropriate packaging to be completed (at purchases expense). You'd be hard pressed to find a set of speakers for this mony. Happy to demo locally and would prefer local pick up, but you might need to bring an amp to make them sing and shine as they should. Taken from Dynaudio website: Natural, life-like sound and precise imaging due to its incredible balance and time alignment. The Contour Cabinet is strengthened by cross braces in specific areas to achieve a solid, vibration-free construction. Internally, the MDF walls are damped with an extremely dense material that absorbs even the most microscopic resonance. In conjunction with the advanced metal baffle construction, an extremely stiff and rigid unit is created, further ennobled by the finely polished surface of a beautifully finished real wood veneer. The innovative base plinth, derived from the Dynaudio Confidence range, serves as a stylish yet solid stand for the speakers. The crossover is mounted on a smaller block, between the plinth and the cabinet, away from unwanted vibrations and resonance, while using the shortest possible path-lengths to the gold plated WBT terminals. The sensitive components are thus isolated from any potential performance compromising factors. In the S 3.4, the new Esotec tweeter is used; it features a double magnet system that ensures extremely high power handling and precise control of movement of the dome. The Contour S 3.4 is available in a choice of real-wood veneer finishes: Maple, Cherry, Rosewood and Black Ash. Several other real-wood veneers and Piano Clear Lacquer, White Piano Lacquer and Black Piano Lacquer are available upon request per special order. 14. Item: Dynaudio C2 - Rosewood Location: Sydney Price: $6,500 Item Condition: Used Reason for selling: Room is too small for the speaker Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: PICKUP ONLY. Local preference for Sydneysiders. Here comes your chance to own the magnificent Dynaudio C2 speakers in Rosewood colour. I love this colour, it blends very well with other furnitures. Amazing bass and detail. Unfortunately these are too big in my lounge room, and my listening position is too close to the speakers as well. I can provide demo for serious buyers. Each speaker weigh around 40kg, so you might want to bring assistant to pick these up. RRP is $18,000 new, you will not find a deal like this very often. 18. Item: Dynaudio Xeo 5 in White Location: Pakenham VIC Price: $2000 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: upgrade Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Hi guys, I have a pair of Dynaudio Xeo 5 speakers in gloss White. They are active speakers, so you'll need only source and you'll have an excellent Dynaudio sound without much of hassle. I use them as surround speakers in my HT which is overkill. It was nice to send signal back to the room without cable runs. It's not an issue for me now. Also, my room is pretty dark and their White colour is slight mismatch to environment I've decided to let them go to a better place and get proper (smaller and dark) surround speakers. Speakers are in excellent conditions and come with transmitter hub and original boxes. Here is a link with some review if require https://www.soundandvision.com/content/review-dynaudio-xeo-5-wireless-speakers Can ship at buyer expense. Pictures:

  20. In a quandary folks. My main system is a pair of single driver Audiospheres powered by a PP EL84 amp. Main source is a Garrard 401 with alloy bodied DL 103r feeding a MF VLPS and VPSU. In moving house, we want music on the verandah, out the back, when cooking, as background when dining... I was contemplating ceiling speakers in zones, but even a basic multi zone setup will be mega dollars. Out of the blue, my wife suggested a mobile system on a trolley. So, I contemplate the following: PS Audio Sprout 100 (100w into 4 ohms) with a macbook pro as source (where all our iTunes is) and a good pair of bookshelf speakers in the 1-2k range. Early shortlist options are Dynaudio Emit 10 or 20, or Sonus Faber Venere 1.5. We listen to everything. 80s and 90s dance, jazz, female vocal, blues, rock, metal, pop etc Any thoughts?

  24. After much research I ended up auditioning some KEF LS50W speakers. They sounded good but weren't set up properly - no speaker stands and only bluetooth audio connection available. Right next to the KEFs were some Dynaudio XD 200. These were set up properly on stands and sounded better than the KEFs, but at a substantially higher price. After some more research looking at Dynaudio LYD 48. They are professional monitors but can be compared directly to the KEFs price-wise. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to audition the LYDs, but it looks like the formula they use isn't a million miles off from the XDs. Is there any reason I shouldn't explore using pro monitors for home use? Is there a reason the XD is twice the price of the LYD? Also I don't see any mention of the XD series on the forum, is a reason for that? Hopefully someone can shed some light for me at this confusing time!
