Not mega high end but very sexy IMO, I've liked Plinius gear since the first time I saw it. not to blow my own trumpet but I probably wouldn't own it if I didn't like it. I still sit and look at the sexy curves some nights while I'm listening. They look like they are built like a tank (they are) but still have a kind of soft appealing look.

Transrotor - Tri-Cell Enterprises

Imagine playing back from all four arms simultaneously, that must be trippy. Like listening in a stadium, with half-second spaced echos...

I was going to comment about how much ugly stuff there is in this topic, but then decided not to.

There's only a few components that look good in gold...... imo this is one, would buy it just to look at.

I'm not usually a big fan of ESLs, but this one does have an industrial charm to it. Which brand is this?

It is the top of the line Martin Logan; Neolith.

Would look good around my glass topped dining table...then again would need a lot of stacked cushions on them to get the seated heads above the table! :)

Or perhaps Electric Chair Chic?

I must say, this is the first time that I have heard people praising the beauty of the back of a loudspeaker! I sure hope they actually realise they are looking at the back of a loudspeaker…

I guess ML wanted us to appreciate the 'derriere' more given the way the photographs were taken ?

The Lecson AC1 and AP1/AP3 pre power combo still amazes me. It's nearly 50 years old!

And no I don't want to hear about reliability. ?

Edit: Oops. Current production you say? I love the classic industrial styling of the Sun Audio amps (unchanged since forever).

Hi Marc,

you chose the wrong thread! ;)  I would have understood this one’s looks better if it were a prop in a comedy about audiophiles....

Hi guys

I won’t deny it: I have trouble thinking of Hifi gear that would meet any conventional standard of beauty. Consider the simple spouse test: how many of our spouses would pay even $100 to have any one of our Hifi items added to their showcase living area as a non-working artefact of decorative beauty?

The answer is so close to ‘not one’ that it is simply damning.

Cheers

That's why I am happily single with a house full of audio equipment. And lovin' it!
