Unofficially happy to share some with you Cardiii.

Also loaded up a few Radio Paradise versions and started up a playlist of favorite tracks

You can point anything at it, Now I know why Roon is so popular and wonder why I resisted so long! ?

I said exactly the same thing several boxes ago!

Until you have them in your life, you don't realize how they augment the whole experience.

You're in self denial ! ?

@Darren69,

There are so many LPS available.  This is my first experience with a LPS.  My choice was the Weiss PSU 101 based upon the excellent performance of other Weiss components that I have.  Impressive outcome for me.  I assume that you had a similar experience with your choice.

I’m confused by all this talk of LPS, have you bought another turntable without telling us, Clive?

I admit to nothing! ?

They are referring to Linear PSU for Roon core and even network switches, very dangerous people!,?

Been a fair bit happening in the last month after buying the Rhein Z1 Roon core server and QNAP NAS.

Have been busy primping here and there, with some Isoacostics orea feet for underneath the Lumin U1 Mini and CD Player.

20201021_155417.thumb.jpg.cf3af9f2158dfe0cf177d1c05d385fd4.jpg

Plus managed to snaffle a Sbooster BOTW linear PSU for the Rhein.

This week I have been juggling around the power cords, and ran a direct power cord from the power amp to the wall rather than in a power board.

With my Roon music, I wanted to access my library etc. outside for running my Node 2 when having parties or GTGs.

Problem was the Wi-Fi signal was too weak to run it so I had an Ethernet cable under the house running to the study with a TP LINK router.

But because it was on a different network effectively, I couldn't bring up Roon on my Android.

Thankfully @wklie heard of my troubles on another thread and contacted me to help.

Due to everyone using the internet around the clock here, it was a very drawn out process!

However finally with Peter's excellent instructions, and infinite patience to stupid questions- I managed to create an access point on the TP link router so Wi-Fi coverage is now great everywhere! ?

I was just sitting down earlier listening to my system, and basking in the glorious sound!

Left everything switched on as I often do, while doing a few chores around the house and came inside for another listening session.

Silence!!!! ?

A bit of head scratching  and turning on and off - still nothing.

Turntable working fine through the system so isolated to the Ayon Sigma DAC.

Edit: Gremlins making a fool of me- Ayon working fine! ?

Ok seems l have gremlins!!

Both tubes seem to be working now and just put back in the system.

Bizarre as nothing at all was touched before it stopped working from two separate sources and checked all connections and inputs were correct!

Everything is working fine now, nothing to see here! ?

No praying here, just worshipping fine audio reproduction / music! ?

Have you lifted the hood at all on the Ayon Clive? There is a multi connect cable connects the lid to the rest of the unit, inside there is some stuff that dislikes being moved.

@christosd is your man for the stuff that might need a little press to ensure it isn’t having a nervous breakdown, they can be a little temperamental.

No not with this unit, built like a tank and only the base has bolts for removal!

Unsure if there's just been a hiccup, or whether a tube is becoming unstable or failing.

Probably will be sensible to replace the tubes, but not sure if I'm game enough to try!

Could be a job for @Tubularbells

One of my never, ever sell items!

It's a Melody SP1 push pull amplifier 42w / channel which was built in Bayswater, Melbourne before Melody went offshore to China .

Build quality was phenomenal, utilizing top quality transformers and components - and every time I connect it up to my system occasionally for a listen it brings a big smile to my face!

If you ever see one come up for sale, snap it up! :winky:

Here's a better pic of it.

Very nice.

It certainly doesn't look like any of their current stuff.
