6.66%, I love it.

@mtf What did you think of it?

Hi Daz

I personally enjoyed this one, it was not quite as heavy as I had anticipated but it had some nice flavours and a surprisingly dry finish.

I imagine lovers of the of the more brooding Stouts will possibly find it a little less satisfying but Mr and Mrs MTF are giving it a big thumbs up,  :thumb:  ?

Cheers!

This is my "go to" drop. Local, tasty and not absurdly expensive.

The guys at Little Bang seem to have a lot of fun experimenting and their stout combines everything that makes life good!

They are OK, cold, wet and have had hops waved over the top of the tun at some stage. :)

Just finished a 6 pack of......

Bloody nice drop that one. Would almost turn me religious if I could become one of the monks at that ale house.

Leffe Radieuse

I get a feeling monks would run tubes and blow horns.

Big Shed "Boozy Fruit". Like a brewed fruit salad. Yum!!20180818_120743.jpg

WOW...now that sounds different...

Have to give that a try...

Craft Beer Festival in Perth this weekend, weather is absolutely bang on!!

Might have to make my way in there me thinks

Got a six pack of Stoke IPA, avoid. The most insipid IPA I have had. I wonder if Stoke/McCashins have been bought out because I seem to remember their products being much more robust than of late.

Being 'bought out' seems to be a result of success--much like some of the better restaurants.☹️

On my last trip to Vancouver my sister introduced me to the new craft and micro beer scene there. It appears really healthy and because these small breweries have special rules they can both make a profit and stay small.

They are allowed to re-fill "growlers" with draft--sizes range from 1 to 3.5 litres with 2 being the most popular. No bottling costs mean the prices are very reasonable.

For drinking-in they are allowed to serve food with the beer!

There are limits to how many beers you can have in--and it seems fairly strictly enforced. The usual limit is just over a litre. Of course you can always change venues.

The result is "Tuesday at 8 our group collects at brewery X for a meal and a couple of pints. Friday it's brewery Y at 6."

Sounds fantastic, especially the 'changing venues' bit, variety is the spice of life. :D

Tassie is another version of the above and is great except the breweries are colourbond clad affairs and they don't care if you get sloshed.

Edit- re reading that, I am sure I have a problem. :D

Hey Daz. Just to clarify is the Stoke IPA different from the Nelson IPA that we have both tried and enjoyed. Apols as I am not any type of expert bro'

Hey Lindz, yes another brew, brew.

The Nelson IPA was better than the IPA that I imbibed this arvo but even that brew needed maybe half a percent more rocket fuel, then  it would really be something I could fixate on but very good nonetheless.

I would certainly take it over many others.

Yeah that's a clean tasting drop, quite nice.  Brewed in Geelong to a Little Creatures recipe.  Again Little Creatures has been bought out, used to love their Pale Ale - but I'm with you, the Furphy is a nice beer.

For me it’s nicer in the Subbie than the can too
