Offered him that years ago and re-build his collapsed wall. About time the slacker did something down there.

Beyond my level of expertise,  asked two blokes to quote and they declined , steep slope and no foundation make it too tricky. ?

Remember the place next door when they had the excavator down the back?

That's how you put the footing in.

Rebuild wall and build a cantilever open deck out towards creek for the milling crowd to guzzle their swill and Tubby's hot and cold charcuterie delights.

As I mentioned earlier the backyard by the creek was looking very different.

20 year old Slate pattern stamped concrete was looking a bit tired but I had confidence in it being restored!

High pressure clean and lot of elbow grease to scrape and buff out marks etc. Plus 2 coats of paving sealer later - looking like new! ?

Double custom PVC Cafe blinds fitted onto the side, fit perfectly after a  slight mod mounting a drop beam along the far side for wall anchor fitting(s).

Sparky friend fitted 4 lights, power outlets plus 3800 Watt rated for two overhead electric bar heaters so ultra warm and cosy.

Tested out for the first time last Sunday night for wood fired pizza night, and it was a great success!

So there you have it,  all setup for entertaining with comfort and style - if we ever reach that point! ?

As @Cardiiiii mentioned - I did have a long held desire to model the old carport into a mancave !

However as directly on the boundary to Scotchmans creek, not gonna happen planning wise.

I believe this is a very good trade-off, it is very much like an enclosed room with the blinds down.

Now to sit back more and enjoy it! ?

Wow, wow, wow! Oh how i'd love to have something like that in my backyard. Your GTG's are going to be next level if we ever get out of lockdown again!

awesome ! it looks like could start taking bookings for tables ! wood fired pizza and other delicacies :)

Geez, when you make it look too flashy you won't want us misfits coming around and messing up the place, nice work

cant wait to visit next year.

LOL,  hadn't thought of it like that, but now that you mention it !

Trouble is with the large appetites I've had to deal with,  it would have to be a sizable bill to cover the cost of food. ?

Always welcome here mate, you know that! ?

Awesome. I can't even get my wife to agree to cafe blinds for our alfresco area!

A nice iron chiminea would look fantastic just sitting in the southern opening. Electric heat is very convenient, but you can't beat the feel and look of fire.

Agree with raw flame how mesmerising it is! ?

I do have the portable fire pit / grill for cooking and eating - that does the trick! ?

As it is I have the pizza oven, Weber,  fire pit and 6 burner BBQ.

I had to fight over getting the BBQ in over a table so another heater might be difficult.

Thanks for your positive comments guys, really appreciate it!

The wife and I put a lot of thought into the design and aesthetics, well she mainly did!

I was the hard labor component.  ?

Still pinch myself when I go down there, really wrapped with the result! ?

Bit of change in the HiFi end as well - I'll divulge more later.

??

Oh Oh !!! ?

That sounds like code for it's set her thinking.

That means you're in for implementing her ideas!

Sorry Bat !,?

Not a hope, we rent.

All you need now Clive, is a ceiling to combat the summer heat, and the noise of the winter rain.

You've got some time up your sleeve.

Chop chop!  :)
