Not a massive fan of Crown Lager, but the new Golden Ale is also a fine drop...

nice easy drinking beer that Carlsberg.  I've drunk buckets of the stuff,  mostly in Malaysia because it's everywhere there.

Grog is taking over my hallway at the moment.   10 cases of wine so far and another 8 to come.

no, no, no. Sparkling Ale is the original Coopers brew. Pale Ale is but a pale version of it. Not bad, but not a patch on the original.

Coopers Sparkling Ale is an all time classic. I like drinking it in the cooler weather but not in summer.

I remember years ago there was a very prominent author of beer related books called Michael Jackson (not him) who would travel the world writing about and tasting beer. It was his contention that Coopers Sparkling was pretty much the only Australian beer that could be called a "great beer" Most other Aussie beers of that time were same old lager beers. He had a kind word for Tooheys Old and the various stouts too.All very subjective of course.

His books are well worth chasing up IMO

I remember him. He did quite a good TV series called 'The Beer Hunter'. He was very complimentary about Belgium's beer varieties, as I recall.
