Message added by Marc,

This thread is intended to be lighthearted; a bit of fun, and a little escape from every day life.

More recently, we are receiving an increasing amount of reported posts. We suggest that if you are easily offended, then consider unfollowing and ignore the thread.

This thread is unmoderated, in that we do not read it and check every single contribution as a matter of course.

A joke for the day........

Technically, it's a slip of the tongue that unintentionally reveals an unconscious thought, usually a desire or a conflict. There is a compelling story about Freud and his family fleeing Vienna for a life in London as refugees just before World War II. They were boarding the train when a bunch of Gerstapo troops told them to stop; the family feared the worst, however the Gestapo asked them to sign a document that stated how well the occupying Nazis had treated them and that they were leaving Vienna of the ir own free will. Freud signed the letter, but added "I heartily recommend the Gestapo to everyone" at the bottom of the document.
