In Today's Herald Sun....

I’m going to have to cut down on my drinking. These days when I get 16 bottles delivered (Naked Wines) I can’t  lift the box to the wine rack. 

I went to the bank Today and 4 guys walked in Wearing masks. Everyone in the bank were shaking with Fear. One of the Guys wearing mask Say's " Get down all , We are here to loot the bank "................... That's When everyone had a sigh of relief.....

John Travolta has allegedly been hospitalized for suspected COVID-19 (Coronavirus), but doctors now confirm that it was only Saturday Night Fever, and they assure everyone that he was Staying Alive.

Is it really as simple as that, Steve.

 

For #1, the 'panickers' in supermarkets have been predominantly male - whereas in this skit, a woman is serving the toilet rolls.  And the man seems non-plussed.

 

For #2, maybe the cartoonist is a misogynist - and likes to portray the fairer sex as stoopid?  (What say you, @April Snow ?)

That's some over analysis there Andy?......toilet paper looters have indeed been both sexes......but yes, at a stretch, we might see the cartoon as sexist as it shows the woman serving the evening meal......but I really think it's implying that, at the moment at least, the 'panicky' population stupidly judges toilet paper to be more important than food. Let's face it, currently there's far more food in supermarkets that there is toilet paper.?

we shouldn't.  I would expect it to be the woman doing the cooking about 50% of the time, so it's a 50-50 chance the cartoon would show a woman.  Nothing special happening there...    

The blame is really on modern art!

@andyr  Well I have to say as a female I was so ashamed of those women fighting in the supermarket .............and for the world to see Australians do that was embaressing.

 

The cartoon - well looks like a woman under stress right there, and yes likely serving the meal as happens in most households I guess- but me thinks that with only toilet paper to eat they will be bound up soon anyway as it will turn into hard lumps in the bowel and thus plug up the bum hole and will solve the problem long term ? so could actually be a community service.
