Based on feedback in this thread, it's obvious that historical content was not being used in the calculation of badges and ranks.

 

Therefore, we have decided to rebuild this data from scratch.

 

While this takes place everyone's rank has been reset to 0. Over the coming days (we estimate 2-3 days), each member will have their content analysed and receive the relevant ranks and badges accordingly. While this is happening I have disabled all notifications related to Achievements and Ranks. I will post an update here once this process is complete, and then reactivate notifications.

Sadly no. There were three major steps (recounts). Two have completed and the third is at ~30%.

I've just thrown a heap more server resources at it to hopefully speed it up, but I suspect it will be about 2 more days.

    IMO ranking systems such as this are not useful and may be counter-productive.

    I've been offline all day (en-route to not so warm QLD) and it's completed. 

    I haven't looked at any of the results now but it appears to have identified all the historical data correctly now.
