Well I suppose we do what is possible (affordable).

It is still courageous to invest in whole cable loom without audition so I hope it all works put well for you.

Thanks,,I think the thing I was worried about was the sound turning too bright or thin sounding, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Looking forward to trying the t/t out next.

Yes understood those are characteristics of my experience with Nordost Valhalla in the past but that was not in my own system so thankfully I did not need to buy them to find out!

I previously had frey series 2 xlr and speaker cable only , and wasn't amazed by it , that's why I wanted to try a complete set.

Tweaky Sunday. I replaced the stock (HRS)!feet on my Mofi t/t with Iso-Acoustics Iso-pucks  although I have no complaints with the HRS other than their tendency to slide around a bit on my shelves., the Iso-pucks look that bit more substantial. Sound wise although early days - the bass seems that bit more "tighter/controlled" . Happy with the results and not overly expensive.

Any further progress?

I climbed the Nordost ladder myself and got to Red Dawn. I just couldn't justify the price to go higher currently. I'm going from 1.5m RD LS single ended to 5m XLR interconnects again so I'm back to Blue Heaven because of $$$. At least it's XLR though.

I'm also doing the IsoAcoustics footer thing under my gear with great results.

As we stand today , because a lot can happen in a few months. 😁

Turntable is now “712” of 1210 SL1210GAE's with a Lyra Argo i cartridge. Currently on trial is a Primare R15 phono stage. Short of a lotto win, this probably my forever turntable.

The Marantz SA10 player, likewise short of a lotto win is here for the long haul.

The new Michi X5 integrated continues to impress and despite of all the bulk and built in technology has a very nice natural and airy sound to it with a well defined ( but never over powering bass). And finally the Revel F208 speakers continue to sound very well in my smallish and awkward shaped room.

interconnects and speaker cable are currently Aurealis Audio with power cables being a Rega power cable to turntable and Nordost Red Dawn to components and Isotek Sirius power board. Rack is SGR reference.

PS: the photos here were taken on my new work issued IPhone 11.

Couple tweaks to the system, to give bi-wiring ago, I had  @Bengineermake me some Furutech F301 speaker cable running to the treble speakers while my existing Aurealis Audio 301 speaker cable goes to the bass terminals. and I swapped out my Aurealis Audio Dragon XlR connectors (cd to int amp) for the same model in RCA.

Cheap mods and having a listen today very happy with the sound. Bass in particular sounds out, deep , fast and well defined - even listening to a David Sylvian bootleg live cd (actually for a bootleg the sound quality is pretty good)

And a few months later some changes again 😁

most notable the Revels have been replaced by Martens.

after a number of floor-standers, I felt like trying some stand-mounts again, picked these up locally.

very nice , the usual stand-mount attributes but also decent bass.

have got a bit of speaker positioning to do, as they are sitting in the usual spot where floor-standers worked well, but I think I can get better sound with some fine tuning.

speaker cable has changed from Aurealis 301 ( sadly to short) to Furutech FS-a36 spk cable.

A small step for mankind, a small cable for my system

50cm coaxial using Furutech cable and Viablue connectors, made up by a Marco at Marco’s Custom Cable. Seems friendly and quite happy to answer questions , seems to make a lot of custom headphone cables going by his page ( only Facebook and instagram at the moment)

going to use it between my sa10 and the akm dac in the X5

Dieter Meir CD coz that what I’m listening to right now 😎

And today, a primare r35 replaced the r15- the r35 was a black Friday special at a darn good price.

Bad news - no way was it going to fit on top of the X5. Is it time for a new shelf? Boo

Better news - it fitted on the SA10 okay and my AA Dragon cables still reach. Yay

Good news - early days, but it sounds pretty darn good - seems a fuller sound than the R15, but still some checking of settings to be done,

Such a neat looking considered system. If cable management/tidiness was an Olympic sport for a multiple component system, gold medal right here.
It is an overwhelming horror show behind my stuff.
What is the little white round thing next to the power strip please?

It is not possible to have such tidy cables.   I’m saying he has photoshopped it. 🙈

Mine looks like a dogs breakfast that the dog rejected.  🫣🫣🫣

Regards Cazzesman

Lol , a bonus of locally made cables, they are all around the 50cm mark, the phono leads are the longest as they originally had to reach down to the amp - I could get a new set shorter made 🤔
