gat474 Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I went out to the Werribee water treatment plant today to see what it was like. Apparently it's a bit of a birder's Mecca. I didn't end up getting any pics worth posting. Unfortunately I don't have any decent bird lenses, only the Nikon VR 70 - 300 which although good for sports etc is a bit short for the smaller bids and really suffers if the sun isn't out. I'll go out again, I'll just make sure that the light is good and maybe try getting a little closer to the subjects.
brumby Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Some shots from our just completed 1600-1800 km journey through the dirt in central Oz - Flinders Ranges National Park - Strzelecki Track and Oodnadatta Track with side trips to Coober Pedy and Arckaringa before hitting Oodnadatta and Marla back on the bitumen. 7

betty boop Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 From the RACV, Shifting Gear show this on at ACMI showcasing Australian Car Design, some lovely cars to photograph, taken with the lumix lx100 6
betty boop Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 and probably the star of the show which greeted before entering, with all its curves and reflections I found it a difficult car to photograph, and I dont think my photos or the setting really did it justice. But still quite a stunningly beautiful car to behold ! 8
Guest Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Ah yes saw that on TV. With that old dusty ute they took great care when transporing it to make stuff like cobwebs etc stayed in place for the authentic look.
Guest Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 How ripped is that kangaroo? ^ (The one in the water) Wish I had muscles like that :o
The Fez Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Great pics of the cars. No question that efijy is and always will be a stunning car. It is world class. I hope it still resides here in Australia as I bet collectors from around the world have tried to acquire it. 1

betty boop Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 some lovely natives from @@Quark 's Garden, the visiting birds were having a feast ! 8
mondie Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 From the RACV, Shifting Gear show this on at ACMI showcasing Australian Car Design, some lovely cars to photograph, taken with the lumix lx100 That is a terrific photo and a great reminder of what a blunder it was not to make the GTR-X. It would be as hallowed as a Phase 3 if it ever wet into production as it would have replaced the XU-1 as the production race car of choice. It still looks sensational, especially if you surround it by the cars of its day, then it looks truly revelatory. Shame
