  1. Whilst I don’t have Hope on vinyl by pure coincidence I played it from Tidal just tonight. Terrific album even in the digital form. Would like a vinyl copy of anyone had a spare.
  2. Further information: In very good condition with PSU1 PS and cables. I think I have the box for the Elevator but maybe not the power supply. In any case I can pack this safely. A terrific way to bring some adjustability into MC settings, a wider variety of MC carts and allow you to use MC carts if your phono pre just does MM. Only selling as I’m using a Graham Slee dedicated MC phono pre amp. Happy to post or in our current lockdown if you happen to live close enough and doing your hours exercise near my place you can walk on by and pick it up from me - reminds me of the baton change in a relay race. 3. Needs a clean John but otherwise it’s great. I’ve had the Booker T and the MG’s version for years so am familiar with the whole album. Now that I’ve listened to the original I can’t say one is better than the other.
  4. I’ve had this kicking around for years now. No idea where I got it and turned my nose up due to the ratty cover. I was looking for something else and came across it again. Checked out the vinyl, Aus pressing from EMI which I read recently could mean it’s pressed from a master disc rather than tapes like the US used. EMI Aus was owned by EMI UK who owned Apple and the music. I read that for some stuff inc. the Beatles albums EMI used to fly master discs out for pressings. First time I’ve played this, sounds just fantastic.
  5. There’s only one way to listen to this album - PLAY IT LOUD! I bought this for $7.99 from Pop Inn Records Melb circa 1980.
  6. If you find one and don't like it put me down as a taker. I have had a CA2 mk2 and whilst it was very good the Benchmark HPA4 is definitely better.
  7. There is the Atc sca2 pre amp. I haven’t heard of any being in Aus though.
  8. I ran mine for probably another 40 hours before having a good listen. As it was a demo it had a few on it already. It definitely improved a bit in the time it was running in. Initially I was using an Oppo 103 for streaming but I’ve now got it hooked up to a Lumin U1 mini. The improvement just with the Lumin was substantial. I initially used an aes cable but on a whim I trialled an el cheapo USB cable. Better again. Without turning this into a MQA haters thread I think that MQA via the USB sounds terrific. I’m not bothering to do A/B MQA vs non MQA, I’m just enjoying it.
  9. @Xecuter terrific post. You’ve really gone above and beyond in your quest for your hifi.
  10. @JohnL the 100’s sound even better now that I’m using a streamer rather than the Oppo.
  11. Contact John at Aranmar Acoustics. He made all of the Interdyn speakers and was the seas importer. Has some old driver stock.
  12. Also make their own amp packs for speakers and plate amps for their subs.
  13. On the subject of Atc’s sales department I think that’s Ben Lilly. He is listed as ‘Technical Sales Manager’. Now that’s confusing. I’ve spoken to Ben a few times over the years. Awfully nice guy and has never tried to sell me anything, only given me technical advice.
