A melon collie Zakk Wylde on Book of Shadows II.   Not a huge fan of Zakk and BLS but his solo, low-key stuff I really enjoy.  He does have a decent  gravelly voice that suits his solo songs.

Okay, so the first one was yesterday, but everyday is the same now anyway so it's hard to tell what day it is...

So after hearing this...

Had to listen to the original.

Then today was playing stuff I'd finally gotten around to ripping and had transferred over to the NAS.  Starting with Bolt Gun with some atmospheric dark ambient with metal musings.  ;)  Set the mood nicely.

Ludovico Einaudi - Seven Days Walking - Day One for a bit of modern classical.  To further chill out.

Did liven it up a bit around lunchtime with Swans - Leaving Meaning.  Another great album from him, I mean them.  Doesn't quite have the abrasiveness of To Be Kind, but is more edgy than The Glowing Man (from memory).

And finished with Mamiffer - The World Unseen.  More great laid back experimental ambient...ish.

Thank you Rank Stranger. He really does live on in his music.

Sydney-based soundtrack composer does what seems to be piano soundtrack MOR-lite but then you notice the weird bits - a twiddle here, didgeridoo, field recordings - and the ear for melody. This was going to be in the ambient thread, then the world music, and then I ended up putting it here. Almost muzak, but always falls towards interesting.
