Hey Guys.  Enjoying a lazy day cleaning records, a cup o' tea, a couple of pipes and a wandering musical adventure...

Scatterbrain  'Here Comes Trouble'  1990 In Effect, Hollis, New York.

It's only one disc, both sides pictured.

Man!!!  This is one under acknowledged band and album.  Highly recommended listening on vinyl, it sounds superb with a wide sound stage, it's well produced and musically they are very talented boys.  They obviously have a kooky sense of humour which flows through the music.  I saw them on this album tour in Dee Why (Sydney), somewhere, it was not a big gig as they were not well known.  It was a fantastic set and struck me immediately as a band that sounded exactly like their record.  It has always stood out as one of my most memorable gigs for that reason alone, and they are very competent musicians and performers.

Worth a hunt for this one if you like well recorded, heavy music/metal sounding nice on vinyl and capturing the bands live sound perfectly in the studio.

Thought of you @Stevo.

Joe Satriani  'Surfing with the Alien'  1987 CBS Records.

Need to update this pic with the vinyl.

Another great sounding record from some very talented boys.  Surf, fun & sun all the way...

Bought a few CDs today...

So started with Marilyn Manson - Antichrist Superstar.  Heh.  Finally got around to getting this.  Yeah... it's not bad.   I've usually liked the singles off most the albums, and do like the general sound.  So bring it on.

Then, well, it's a bit of a change in pace.  :D  Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms.  Although I'm going to have to admit I may have fast forwarded on a couple of tracks.    But Money for Nothing and Walk of Life are good childhood memories.  Plus it's a good sounding album.

Then on to Muse's last album.  Certainly started with the pomp I would expect of Muse :D, but I'm not sure it finished the same way it started.  Will have to give it a few more listens I think.

Then a bit more Marilyn Manson with Pale Emperor.  Got this cos of Killing Strangers.  Maybe I just should have bought the greatest hits?  haha Anyway, yeah, it's not a bad album either hey.

And back to old material and currently playing Fantômas - The Director's Cut.  It's been a while.  But it's good to hear again.  Such a fun album.  The differences between the originals and interpretations is interesting.

Hey @Monk;  Awesome selection there today.  I have all of those on either vinyl, CD or hard drive.

I picked up the Muse vinyl recently and really liked it from the start, it's sounds very good.  Each listen gets better for me still, after four or five plays now.  Interested in your thoughts after a few more spins.

My favourite Manson album is the compilation...

Marilyn Manson  'Lest We Forget'  2004 Interscope Records. flac CD rip

Haha, yeah.  I almost got that instead of what I got.  But thought I should get the albums.

I do like his covers though.

M@M: Encore. My son's over, so I thought I better throw one on for him. The inside cover reminds me of the Sid Visious 'My Way' film clip. He is quite thw word Smith on the wraps.

I bought this new many moons ago, still in great shape, great songs, well played and pretty good sounding vinyl.

Man!!!  Have I mentioned how good glue cleaning is???

This one has been resurrected from quite annoying to quite enjoyable... Nice...

No, actually you may not have mentioned the glue thing. Looks like a neat trick though. ?

Get the SACD (very cheap these days) and it becomes a stunning sounding album. The 5.1 mix is so dynamic and detailed......just outstanding!? I so want the LP of this.....?
