idiotek
Not sure whether it is a great buy, but I just bought a Chord Mojo DAC/headphone amp from Whatmough Audio's eBay store by using the 10% off everything offer http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/291680743068 , then use the "CRUSHONYOU" upon check out i.e. I paid $809.10 AUD including free regular postage Edited February 10, 2016 by idiotek
Sam Z
That radiogram is still for sale! I'd buy that it if it were local, it's beguiling. On other news there was a pair of Sony APM-4s advertised on gumtree in Perth recently. I'm 90% they were a scam (advertised with stock pics taken from an American ad, no phone number, sheer weirdness/rarity of them) but on of the off chance they weren't, did anyone here pick them up? Cos if there's a pair of APM4s in Australia they eventually need come to papa, I don't care how they sound.

thoglette
Some serious vintage goodness: Altec 416-8A in period (mono) speaker enclosure. Pick up only Essendon VIC (otherwise I'd be keeping mum ). Currently $15. This is THE driver being used for the "Beyond the Ariel" speaker. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/201521002166
Jesco
One for the keen Sansui collector? Sansui AU-117 Description is a tad over the top : "It's is an exceptional amp that is built to the same standard as the higher power models, and sounds every bit as good as the highly prized 517/717/917 from the same range..." http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/172101088590

PKay
Are these worth the asking price given their age? My CD5x is 11 years old and plays perfectly the tray is such a clever mechanism it should never break down. The older lasers are supposed to be superior and that is probably the only concern I would have. They can be replaced but I'm not sure how good the modern lasers are. agelessgoodguy
How do you know that? Whilst searching for more info on this setup I came across Audio Aparmento's Canberra web site, in the specials for sale section they have the exact same advert. Dean Gale
Sansui Au alpha 707DRJust read the specs , brilliant and beauty the only thing i don't like is the price. It should be free to " Deano's ". Also i noticed that there was a mention of purpose built components by Sansui. Should something go wrong with those parts I'd be guessing you wouldn't get a replacement. To me that's a gamble too far. Are these worth the asking price given their age?
