Did you not list this one on purpose @@aasza ?

Certainly. I paid $4k for the black version, would of had red in a heartbeat but they were sold out.

Been a few of these "demo" Burson Timekeepers recently. This could be the super bargain one.

Currently 5 hours to go.......

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ex-Demo-Burson-Timekeeper-Power-Amp-Monoblock-1-unit-only-RRP-1998-AUD-/111893156779

another Timekeeper here but a bit dearer than the one above

The biddable ones seem to come up often enough recently through "ss-audio-au" / Burson. That one today went from $290 to $810 in the last 10 minutes.

Not sure whether it is a great buy, but I just bought a Chord Mojo DAC/headphone amp from Whatmough Audio's eBay store by using the 10% off everything offer

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/291680743068 , then use the "CRUSHONYOU" upon check out

i.e. I paid $809.10 AUD including free regular postage

That radiogram is still for sale! I'd buy that it if it were local, it's beguiling.

On other news there was a pair of Sony APM-4s advertised on gumtree in Perth recently. I'm 90% they were a scam (advertised with stock pics taken from an American ad, no phone number, sheer weirdness/rarity of them) but on of the off chance they weren't, did anyone here pick them up? Cos if there's a pair of APM4s in Australia they eventually need come to papa, I don't care how they sound.

DUAL 1019 TT (SA)

Not sure if the "Not Working" is just the cart or something else, may be of interest to someone. I live close by if there is interest.

Naim CDS3 CD Player and XPS-DR power supply $7,500

This is a great saving on the original RRP and is a stunning player.

I'd be taking a lot of precautions with this one considering it's such a premium product. No recent feedback and using stock photos.

Are these worth the asking price given their age?

My CD5x is 11 years old and plays perfectly the tray is such a clever mechanism it should never break down. The older lasers are supposed to be superior and that is probably the only concern I would have. They can be replaced but I'm not sure how good the modern lasers are.

Just read the specs , brilliant and beauty the only thing i don't like is the price. It should be free to " Deano's ". Also i noticed that there was a mention of purpose built components by Sansui. Should something go wrong with those parts I'd be guessing you wouldn't get a replacement. To me that's a gamble too far.
