Ah, never say never but most likely won't be!

Oh, You got my dream speakers :love

I went to someone house to listen his system last week, he told me 2 pair of interconnect cable and 1 pair of speakers cable cost him over AU$70k :) almost 2 Honda Accord, He said much better than the AQ wel signature. How come I'm the poor???:D

Thanks tvbau,

What system did you listen to?

Hi,

I know it a TW TT with $10K tonearm and $9k Dynavector Cartridge, sorry, I can't remember the name of his speakers also the cable, but I have one picture of the cable, silver in colour made from gold, platinum and....

Please let me know what cable does he have?

OMG, his power cable over $10k too.....:)

...that's the danger of comparing your system to other people's. There will always be bigger and better. The challenge is enjoying your own system and your own achievements :D

Thanks, I got it.

But if I didn't compare my system to another one, how can I know how bad/good of mine?

Ray

If you enjoy your own system Ray then it is good:)

The cable looks like the new Zensati brand. Very, very good.

Darthlaker;

Nice system. Where did you get the uber clock? I've read some stuff about vacuumstate clocks but I didn't know you could get them here. How much are they?

  • Author

Thanks pugugly!

I got the Uberclock from Allen Wright directly.

For pricing on the Uberclock or Terra Firma Light (it's 20% of the price of the Uberclock with 80% of the performance), please contact Joe at http://www.customanalogue.com/.

Just completed another system upgrade so I thought I would post some pics.

The addition of the dCS Puccini SACD/CD player coupled with the dCS Puccini U-Clock is a significant upgrade (RBCD in particular) and the best digital I have heard barring the US$67K dCS Scarlatti "stack".

I also purchased some custom made Silent Running Audio "Ohio Class" Audio isoBASE amp stands for the Ayre MX-R Monoblock amps which work a treat.

Anyone is welcome to pop by and have a listen!

Please PM me to arrange a time.

Many thanks ojdude!

You are more than welcome to have a listen anytime! I'm not that far away from you....

Some very impressive upgrades Darth. I like the SRA iso platforms which are a nice touch.

Cheers,

Bodhi

Thanks Bodhi,

The SRA stands have improved imaging and soundstaging......

Can't wait to see your upgraded system! :party

You're welcome Darth. Good isolation is essential if you're locating mono amps on the floor, and the SRA's are an excellent choice.

I am part way through my system upgrade which is going well, but still has a long way to go. I'm planning on doing a review of my CD-5s in the next couple of months will include some special upgrades. I might invite one of the guys from Australian HiFi to lend a hand...stay tuned.

Cheers,

Bodhi.

Thanks again.

Keeping speaker cable as short as possible was my aim so the mono amps had to be right near the speaker. The Vandersteen 5A's have inbuilt subwoofers so isolation becomes even more important.

The SRA's are custom made to the Ayre MX-R mono amps (they even know the exact weight distribution of the amps!). They are also custom made to the rooms dimentions!

Ah, can't wait to see your finished system!

Cheers

Don't know how I managed to miss your update, but your DCS is looking very happy in its rack there!
