I was thinking the other day where I've seen those glowing circles... at least we know where Dan took the inspiration...

You don't have enough speakers. I think you can fit another 10 pairs of floor standers in there.

All made by you?

Hey man.

I have a pair of TDL floorstanders, and JBL monitors...   all others have been modified by me.

A learning process to develop my skills, leading up to a design and full build of another pair.

I have a thread in the DIY section.

One of the benefits of single living.

I had no room for the Chrissy tree though...  and there are more speakers on the way.

I did set up a four way speaker switch yesterday, it has made comparison's much easier.

That’s a lot of big speakers. I have three individual and different systems at home with three very different speaker setups. But not all crowded into one room. But six or so times a year I swap speakers from one system into my main lounge room system for a re-listen for at least a week or two. Nice to have choice and all speakers have their signature character which I enjoy. All I would happily live with for

ever.

But after a week or two my horns and woofers are returned.

very nice setup. What do you notice most with change from 25 to 30

So far I’ve noticed it has the same sound signature but bigger everything like Bass control and detail.

Had to fight the urge with the 25 being available...

Ive just realized how important a Amp is to get the best out of the speakers. The 025 is a brilliant Amp  for detail quietness and reliability.?

Hey mate

Thats cool.

I used to do the same thing 3 even 4 sets of speakers alongside each other until a member/ mate told me it wasn’t ideal because they “react against each other” still not sure what he was talking about anyway I thinned out the herd and now just have the big Spendors in the room more than happy.?

It’s still a nice sight to see all those nice speakers together.

G'day mate.

Yeah...  you're not the first one to point that out.  I'm sure it's more furniture to interfere with the waves...  not ideal.

It get messy 'round 'ere between cleanups too, as any indoor work is done in the listening area.

My goal is to settle on a main system, with a second system in the same room...  a bedroom system...  and maybe a fourth in the dining room.

That will allow me to thin the herd for listening.  But, I'm sure I will begin moving speakers in and out of the room, instead of having them all side by side.

For now it's all about learning and experience...  finding the right combinations and getting the most from the gear I have.

I have a long way to go before my first, full design and build.

You would get bass assistance I think from the other speakers. I have a huge urn in my listening room which resonates at 50hz. Ive measured it.

I love the clean look of your Musical Fidelity A3Cr combo, I bet it sounds good too.

I'd would love to own a pair of those one day.

Yes Thank you Willmax, I love this amp and pre amp. had it for around 11 years now and will never let it go. too much sentimental value. I have added 2 Vincent Mono blocks sp997 which run the top end and the MF runs the bass section. Really so happy with my setup now. The Vincents are above my expectations also. they are lovely amplifiers.

The Amati Replicas have surpassed my expectations, I nailed the crossover yesterday and it just sounds so right. To be honest I had the Opportunity to listen to some Sonus Fabers 10 years ago when i Lived in Malaysia and I was not that impressed, but I find myself enjoying my homemade creations better.

All DIY, 10 mono amplifiers

All measurements are taken from the Listening position, the distortion measurements are amazing when you think these are from the Listening position and not near field. Check out the waterfall plot its very clean down to 100Hz with almost constant delay. Still have a bit of a peak in the bass but not too bad. Van Morrison never sounded better. Note I’ve reduced the tweeter level to reduce the rise you see in the graph above 2K
