Awiseman
I don't know Kay Starr, but I picked up a Ruby Starr LP from the big car boot sale in Newcastle, last weeknd for a dolla [emoji4] It's in good condition too, and plays very well. Ruby Starr - Smokey Places - 1977 (not my pic, just a grab from the WWW) Great name for an album

Sceeta
Just picked this one up today. I've had this on the silver disc for years and the vinyl pressing on 180gm 3lp set absolutely blows the cd away. Might not be everyones cup of bonox but is a fantastic pressing.LeftfieldLeftism

Scotty Quill
Awaiting me when I arrived home from work yesterday.... Nek minut, it’s all go!.. I’m no reviewer but first impression is quite a commercial album. While some don’t like bands to head down that commercial path, I don’t mind one bit. They’re simply chasing dollars to support what they truly want to produce.

Bands and musicians evolve in different ways over many years, most of the album is prog at its best with a modern twist, I can’t wait to spin it again tomorrow.

unclemack
Couple of discoveries. Firstly a band that was around in the 70s and, although I’d heard of them, never really heard their music. Needless to say I’m a fan now. This MoFi reissue sounds superb. Secondly Daniel Cavanagh, guitarist from Doom band Anathema, has crafted a beautiful record. First track, Frankenstein is a haunting, moving song that’s worth the price of admission alone. Very happy with this one. Cheers, M
t_mike
James Gang, the early days of Joe Walsh. If you get the chance, check out a movie they stared in called Zachariah. It's a rock musical western. Cool story too. Edited June 13, 2018 by t_mike
