  1. Further information: For sale is 24 panels of Sonitus Acoustics Leviter Shape 8 Acoustic Panels which act as absorbers. Price is for all panels. Selling well under RRP which is currently $3,596.00. Description from Sonitus: A Leviter Shape 8 is an 8cm depth absorber component. It is made of high-performance polyester acoustic foam with a cool velvet finish layer that is applied directly to the foam - a fancy addition for aesthetics but the coating also boosts absorption. No itchy, scratchy compressed fiberglass here! The Leviter Shape 8 absorbs higher frequencies so it will not have an effect on mid-bass and low-bass frequencies. The Leviter's curved surface naturally absorbs a wider band of frequencies rather than a fixed depth panel that creates a narrower notch in the frequency response. Material: USAP - Unique Sonitus Acoustic Polyester - fire resistantFMVSS 302 <100mm/min Size: 23.6” x 23.6” x 3.25” (60cm x60cm x 8cm) Coverage Area: 3.9 sq. ft. Weight: 2 lbs. Mounting: SMMS (4 magnets) or Construction Glue Dimensions per panel are: 60x60x8 cm (HxWxD) See http://www.sonitusacoustics.eu/18/product/leviter-shape for further details These panels include factory applied magnets at all four corners of each panel to aid in placement in the room (see photos). There are four boxes available, each containing 6 panels (24 panels in total). I purchased these brand new in April 2020. The details of each box are: 2 box, 6 panels each box, black colour. Brand new, in box, taken out for photo only. 1 box, 6 panels, red colour. Brand new and in box. 1 box, 6 panels, red colour. Used and in *excellent condition. My stereo space is shared with the theatre room and there wasn’t space to use all the panels and the space has been further encroached since, hence selling of these panels. As listed in the dot points above, three boxes are brand new and unused kept in their boxes opened for photos only, one box has been used but is still near new and in excellent condition. *The opened and used red panels have some slight indentations on one side from sitting on bookshelf (see photos that show this). These would not be seen when mounted on wall and it won’t affect performance. Price is for all boxes. I can split and sell each box separately if there is interest. Private message me to discuss. Can be delivered to Brisbane/Gold Coast/NSW border by arrangement. If you live a little further than this, please contact me, something may be arranged. Can post at buyers expense. 2. I have no idea which one's you're referring to, but that is absolute gold ?
  3. Clearaudio Innovation turntable. I love how open it looks with the minimalistic design and the wood/silver combo ?
  4. Great thread. When I first started out, I stacked the few records I had horizontally and while not all of them have warps, there are a few that did develop warps and I can't play them anymore; thank goodness they weren't expensive audiophile releases. For storing vinyl, I have a home made cabinet which I've put felt lining around the inside of so pulling records and boxes out is smooth on the bottom. For actual storage, I generally reuse shipping boxes to store the records inside (photos attached). I think @April Snow was referring to the same type of thing in a post above. I ran out of cabinet space and I'm now lining boxes up on the floor. Most of the small-width boxes are pretty good, but I have two larger boxes filled with MOFI records; the records tend to show a bit more left-right lean that the ones in the smaller boxes. I've also started keeping the inner marketing sheets that MOFI ships and keeping them around the record when I stick it back into the sleeve (I've discarded quite a few over the years until I decided to start keeping them).
  5. Beautiful speakers. I love my Sonus Faber floor standers. Also love the Wilson casually sitting in the corner Good luck with the sale.
  6. Hi Ed Can I get Xanadu please. For pick up Thanks
  7. @Bill125812 Are you thinking of Lenehan audio in Southport? Only local maker I know of, but not really kits. Edit: Misunderstood what you wrote, had to reread. Would be very interested to see what kind kit and sound he makes. I attended one of LivingSound and Visions showcase nights last year, that was quite fun listening to a few different systems and seeing their products on display and meeting other people who were also passionate about HIFI. I'm thinking I could hold a GTG at my place on a Sat/Sun afternoon. My setup is in a room big enough for about 10 people.
  8. Hello all, I'm in Coomera and would be interested in joining in on any GTGs. Have any gone ahead so far?
  9. Very interesting reading this thread and hearing what people think. I have to admit that I like getting the so called audiophile pressings. Mostly its so that I don't have to worry about surface noise and scratches or spending the time tracking an LP down that is in good condition. Whenever I read reviews of LP's, its either awful or drop dead spectacular, but I've found that most records are pretty similar (apart from surface noise) and the light and day comparisons are difficult to identify. Thank goodness for @candyflip or else I would hardly get the older pressings. Good to hear the new aqualung sounds good, I folded and got a s/h Classic Records a year ago.
  10. Hi all, first post in forums. Thought I might add my (limited) experience with tubes and the OP's speakers. I have also heard from people and read on various forums that tubes have that magic sound. I thought about trying tubes but ended up going with solid state because I usually only listen for 20-30 minutes at a time. I was demoing Sonus Faber Elipsa Red speakers on McIntosh MC452 and other McIntosh upstream products and really liked it. I asked the dealer to swap in the MC275 for a while and couldn't hear any difference at all. Maybe that's just the open show room, or just me having a hard time telling the difference. Either way, both amps sounded great. I've also heard the Focal Scalas with McIntosh MC601's which were awesome, one of the best speakers I've listened too. As soon as the Scalas started playing my headache lessened. I had a headache from demoing B&W 803's on MC601's for an hour One day I might try some tubes for fun. But at least on McIntosh, I can't hear the difference between tubes and solid state.
  11. Hi All, Love reading the general discussions on HIFI gear and looking through the classifieds. I have an entry level 2 ch system and buy a heap of vinyl from Mofi, Analogue Productions and second hand Classic Records when I can. Cheers,
