Two more headline acts tonight with Shantel's Bucovina Orkestar (Balkan Brass) and Angelique Kidjo doing her interpretation of Talking Heads' Remain In Light. Citroen
Ruby Rushton – Trudi's Songbook: Volume One and Two LP Some more UK jazz, although the cover makes this appear to be a 70's folk singer album its actually some jazz, fusion Thanks @Kafunis for the heads up on this one
Citroen
Avantdale Bowling Club lp Jazz based hip-hop about life in the Auckland suburb Avondale. Tom Scott now moving on from his infamous run in with the police over his song Kill the PM, and lyrics which included boasting he was going to have sex with the PM's daughter.
djmt
Surprisingly this would fit very comfortably in the Blue Note mid 60's catelog. Joined by Randy Brecker, John Patitucci and Kenny Kirkland. Not to be confused with the Tom Scott mentioned above. What are the chances of consecutive posts featuring a Tom Scott? Edited March 12, 2019 by djmt For the record.

gator2310
Recording a little shakey but the playing is phenomenal - even for these guys
PKay
Blue Saxaphones with Ben Webster and Coleman Hawkins supported by Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown, Herb Ellis and Alvin Stoller. This was recorded in 1957 and this Verve pressing was 1959. I wish they could press vinyl as well as this today. The SQ is superb as is the playing. Dilettanteque
A few discs spun by the owner in one of those amazing little jazz vinyl bars in Tokyo through a TT I couldn't see, what I think was a TU 666 Sansui tuner into JBL 4430 studio monitors . A very good sound and a great range of whiskies. soundfan
Harriet Tubman: The Terror End Of Beauty Certainly one of the best 3 or 4 albums of 2018 IMO, and I am playing the vinyl version which finally arrived last week. Harriet Tubman are a bass, drums, and guitar trio who are well worth checking out. Available on bandcamp.
