NEW FEATURE: The Health Club

Thanks to @RankStranger for encouraging this - but something I've wanted to implement for some time.

In celebration of R U OK Day today, I have created a separate space for members of our community wanting/needing time out from Hi-Fi, but to discuss other aspects of their health, and in particular mental health. We live in interesting times right now, and many members are struggling with the ongoing lockdowns and lack of normality in our lives.

Not everyone has a support network around them, and for many, even our little community here is one form of socialisation and connection to the outside world.

Good initiative, I clicked on the join button. Now where do I find it to check in on an ongoing basis?

Edit- scratch that, found it!

Nothing to lose and if we can help just one members in these challenging times, then job done.

I'll keep it active for as long as its useful or wanted.

Thanks, Marc. I admit I’m disappointed that I didn’t get to start a thread titled: “You don’t have to be crazy to post here, but it helps” but this is good, too :D

Great feature. As my hifi and HT journey's are largely over these days, most of my posting is in the chill out room to keep up with friends and other hobbies we share.

Each lockdown and the associated home schooling gets harder. My kids were fine up until this latest 1, but now we have reached out to a psychologist in the family to help them thru issues of mental health they've never had to deal with before. First virtual session is tonight so fingers crossed.

Excellent idea Marc.

I would like to reinforce the importance that social connection has in these times, and a positive online community can certainly contribute to this.  Thanks to Marc and all the StereNet volunteers who facilitate a space that is more than sharing a love of music and audio equipment.

Yep great initiative, is this one of those ideas that should be pushed out to all members over message so they are aware. A lot of people would not bother coming into this sub forum so it will be easily missed.

All I get is "Sorry, we couldn't locate that."

Same here.

"Not available for my account "

Or not located.

My initial thought was that, like "The Great Audio Debate" section, access  might be restricted, but then:

When I clicked on "The Health Club" in the same line as "Activity", all I got was "couldn't locate" as well. If, while staying on the "couldn't locate " notification page, I then clicked on the "clubs" button next to the "home" button,  I was redirected to the "Health Club" page. Not an ideal method, but it worked.
