We purchased a house and set up the i93s and have moved the SW19s into position and will wire / power them up over the next few days.

Depending on work, will upgrade to DEQX Pre 4 and larger power amp/s and put everything in a proper stand / rack.

Hopefully by end of 2024 I will be where I want to be (and where wife can stop giving me looks - not the sort of looks I married her for that’s for sure….) and wait for the next “big thing” in Hi-Fi - whatever that may be.

I L O V E the look of the i93s and recently had the opportunity to listen to the i66s on an SNA member's kind invitation. Just fabulous speakers - would look to get some funds permitting. Congrats (and massive envy jolt) @Pigpen

Over the last few days I am beginning to suspect I might not need the subwoofers such is the extension on the i93s - my neighbours don’t think I need the subs…..

When playing Sonar’s “Find” to see how well the i93s reproduced bass in the new house I was surprised to have my wife come rushing down from upstairs to query just “WTF” was happening to the house and was I doing it - technically I was doing it but I blamed the speakers……

I have relocated (by myself, leaving good wife back in the Fatherland to admire my hifi - but not to touch it although she did come over for the relocation, temporarily orphaning my hifi) to Adelaide for a while.

Moved into a small unit and got me some small speakers from VAF - i91SE. Got me a small amplifier also from VAF - Marantz M1.

As always, the service from VAF is as good as it gets - I am happy……….now….except for the upside down pic…IMG_2725.thumb.jpeg.dda4eb1b803e0072f770c21a7d9ab518.jpeg

Just finished listening to Shelby Lynne “Just a little lovin’” album - I am going to enjoy these i91s - first impressions are “wow” a lot of sound from a little box, well little when compared to my i93s.

Will fine tune placement tomorrow - just a bit too eager to get them up and running today.

Upgrade to the “small unit living arrangement” with a change out of the Marantz M1 to the NAD M10 V3 feeding my VAF i91s - next upgrade is the 2 VAF Gravitas 12” sealed subwoofers (completely unnecessary in the current listening room such is the bass from the i91) but in preparation for a move to a house in November this year.

Next purchase is a course to teach me how to rotate pictures……..

In preparation for my move back into a house around December this year, I got me some VAF sealed subwoofers to go with my i91’s.

Is this overkill in my current small space…….the neighbours are yet to advise me as such, playing a bit of Sonar’s “Find” may quicken up their advice.

And yet again, my picture is upside down - I will turn my phone upside down for the next one…….

Nice, would love to be able to hear some i91s at some point, have a feeling I’d like them.

Have you used Dirac on the M10 to integrate the subs?

Not used DIRAC yet, possibly this weekend I will give it a go.

I am genuinely impressed by the i91's, they have well and truly settled in - I watched a movie the other day and routed. the sound through the i91's prior to getting the subwoofers yesterday - almost didn't need them such was the extension on the i91's.

My current living arrangement is way too small for the subwoofers, but, like a one eyed kid at a three ring circus, I was looking for places to fit the subs no matter what. It appears the young lady who lives in the unit above me is a woman of patience..........

Once DIRAC has been engaged, I will report back.
