Steven Hinchliffe
I started the day with a quick spin of "I was only 19" by Redgum; regardless of whatever else I spin today I thought that was a good place to start...Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

Monk
Continuing with my ex-Isis theme lately, Sumac today for some thoroughly heavy riffs and objectionable screaming. Plus much headbanging. https://profoundlorerecords.bandcamp.com/album/the-deal

Hergest
ELO-Face The Music. A recent clear vinyl re-issue by some German mob Legacy through Sony. A bit soft and wooly on the bottom end but as my only other copy of this cracker of an album is a bootleg tape from Riyadh airport sometime in the late 70s it's an improvement.

Hergest
Permanent Waves-Rush. Original UK pressing. MOFI re-issued it a few years ago and in comparison the MOFI is as soft as a wet blancmange. This has some real bite to it.

Check out Frederick Septimus Kelly (posted yesterday, link below), he survived Gallipoli, only to loose his life in the battle of the Somme the following year. This version is hauntingly beautiful, written for his friend the English poet Rupert Brooke. He was friends with composers such as Ravel & there are clear echos of Ralph Vaughan Williams (think Lark ascending), but still wholly original. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKeCkfRf9HM
