Joz's intimate gtg... with the Ingrates!!

Thanks for a great day Joe!  First time at Chez Joz and mighty impressed - the sound system, the food and the company.  Thanks again!

Glad you could make it, it's the people that make these days so good.

Thanks joz made it home safely

The trck that rejected or is that acknowledged my late entry was a prophetic "dead can Dance" number

Aah yes, it was  Yulunga.

Dave you must have made a quick getaway, I didn't even notice you leave.

Glad you made it over aswell, hope to have you here with the other guys more often.

Jeez, not much gets past that man!  I must remember he is one bloke not to get on the bad side of.

What a day (and night, I thought it was time to leave at 11.30pm before I got kicked out)!

Forget the great company, the great conversation, the stellar sound system, and the food.   Let's talk about the music.  It was just fantastic, there was something for everyone and when the request for a couple of extra dB went out, no problems.  Nice one Joz.  And the best bit for me was discovering a new artist, John Campbell.

A big thankyou to Joz and wife and the rugrats for letting us takeover for the day.

Glad you made Red, it's amazing how time gets away doesn't it.

I know I could have kept going except for the family upstairs trying to nod off (keep telling them, sleep is so overated)

Anyhow you probably didn't realise that I don't mind the extra DB :D

But for me the trick is to get a large enough variety in the playlist just so that we don't stick to the same genre all day. Some days are better than others.

You would have noticed some old school hard rock, blues, jazz, orchestral, electronic, folk, male and female vocals, organ works as well as some I can't remember.

Also if there is a disc spinner and TT there if anyone wants to spin their own.

Then there is the biggest bonus from these GTGs, finding that new artist or two amongst all the fat chewing and listening.

Not to mention getting to know our fellow SNA'ers.

Now who else had another camera, they should cough up the pics me thinks ( @@Sierra )

EDIT::

My wife said I should have more GTGS!!!

(how good is she?)

She said you guys were really nice???

Plus she loved all the food you guys brought over!

Hmmmm, I may have to take her up on it!

I am not sure what I can add to this thread that hasn't been already said.

I want to first express my gratitude to Mrs and Mr Joz for opening their lovely home to us.

Inspite of the number of people it was a pleasure to see how the hosts made time for everyone and made everyone

feel so completely at home.

The food was stellar. Loved the burgers and the condiments (not often do condiments get a mention but they were really something)

The Music selection was great and it made the system sing. It is the most effortless system I have ever heard. Also the best Bass I have ever heard.

Enjoyed as always, the company of SNA members. Where else can one find a group of people who loving show pictures of their hi fi components to other members.

In most non audiophile gathering people just show pics of kids or grandkids...how uninteresting is that !

The weather held up too.

All in all a perfect day.

Have had a beard since I was 18

Never shaved it off

It hides many sins

Beards current standing is a bit of a mystery to me

I went fit the 5 o'clock shadow look well a few days growth trimmed back twice a week

It had been Rasputin biker -tuck in your belt stuff for decades

I just stopped the trims around Christmas time and haven't checked in the mirror since then < no point

Whose the gentleman in the Santa suit?
