  1. Gosh, there are so many smart speakers these days, it's a bit overwhelming. A bit like choosing a smartphone, I guess. Funnily enough, Apple's HomePod has reportedly been quite unpopular and nowhere close to what the company hoped for with regards to sales. Strange for an Apple product! The biggest fight seems to be between the Echo and Home. Both appear to be fairly similar but I suppose it depends on which company you trust more...Amazon or Google The Echo recently had a weird glitch where the voice assistant, Alexa, was said to be giggling randomly during the night... terrifying! I don't own one right now, but I like the idea of using it for reporting the news headlines, as well as alarms and playing songs and setting a timer. Really don't need it atm, but would definitely be up for getting one perhaps when the tech has been improved a bit more.
  2. How to people find this? Does it save a lot of time/effort?
  3. Whatever happened to the Nigerian Prince? Did he get the money he needed?
  4. wow, force awakens was really low on best movie :/ That movie pwned.
  5. Way too long and meandering. But performances were great and the special effects ruled. Could have trimmed about 30 mins and would still be a great story.
  6. I only seem to remember some tank game on the C64 :/ I was way too young to really fondly remember, but I wonder if I could play it now... i think it's past its prime for me
  7. I watched Terminator 2 recently... and my God, it holds up so well. The movies which use as many practical effects as possible will always be watchable in like 20 years. Plus, even if the story is somewhat confusing at times with all the time paradoxes, it's a really great tale. That end scene in the molten lava always makes me weep
  8. Another serious Jim Carrey movie? Interesting... he usually does really well in these kinds of movies. Eternal Sunshine was gorgeous.
  9. Is it possible though, that the AW is more of a fad? Those Swiss watches have battled countless digital revolutions and are still relevant. I think people will always appreciate the craftsmanship and beauty of a Swiss watch, whereas an AW is cool for maybe 1 year.
  10. Fair shout Was really surprised at how it was reviewed though. So polarizing.
  11. Straight up, no other company has a chance to beat Apple Watch. They are just too far ahead.
  12. Who's still playing this? I got bored of it all around December :/
  13. Avengers, Mission Impossible, Jurassic World 2 and Han Solo are my next movies to see in 2018. At least in the cinema...
  14. I think this will definitely be a huge movie for 2018, but not sure how well it will be remembered in say, 5 years?
  15. Really loved Michael B. Jordan as the villain. He wasn't as generic as I thought he'd be. His reasons were a bit more complex (vengeance, wants to prove himself). I didn't like how much CGI was used, especially in the fights. I know it's so much cheaper, but it ages so quickly and just doesn't look as good. Nolan has the right idea, as less CGI as possible!
  16. I thought all four of the stars had a decent amount of screentime, so you didn't get sick of any of them. Karen Gillan was perhaps the surprise star, as I didn't know she could be that funny. The Rock, Jack Black and Kevin Hart were all great too. 4/5
