Nope it's just that the meter maxes out @110 (damn thing is speed limited....lol)

    Have you tried the DAC in the DEQX yet ?

    Oh yeah it's got a DAC as well, almost forgot

    ......ok yeah I've tried it and it's pretty bloody impressive. Might just make me listen to more digital I reckon, seriously.

    Just have t hooked into a squeezebox with some rubbish USB cable and I have to admit It's really good.

    You're always trying it as all analog input is converted to digital and then back again by the DAC.

    Correct, but not quite what I meant.

    I was talking about using it for digital sources rather than an external DAC

    Can now finally crack the 90db mark again with this new amp. Pushing 110db and the current meter is barely twitching.

    ....HELL YEAH!

    That's gotta be some hot heavy metal

    So after an epic 25 hour road trip and 2046km later this is what I picked up. A pair of mighty JBL 4435's

    Going to take time to gather my thoughts about these but some random words I've been muttering so far are:

    Fark my back hurts like hell

    OMG my teeth are rattling

    Gee I think I'm going to need a bigger amp

    These are actually pretty smooth and not bitey like some horns

    Wish I could sit a bit further back
