I was about to jump on the Kickstarter to see what these are like for myself. Seems like they're "All Gone".

The offer is there for either of you. I didn't really need them but figured these would be the best pair of cans I'd ever get my hands on. How lightweight they are is a big consideration as I find most headphones tend to give me headaches. I'm rather hoping these ones won't as I use headphones for my home office computer. Just uses less space than speakers  🙂

Be very cool to have my pair reviewed on the SNA front page. Headphones are small enough to express post so not really a biggie though I'd not be surprised if some burn in required.

Yeah, I'm hoping to enjoy the V1 Mk2's at home for a bit and move the M1060's into my setup at work..... Once the V2's are here (after reviewing by @Jensway) I'll keep those at home and move the V1 Mk2's to the work office. The DAC and headphone amp is worse there so they'll be more forgiving of that setup vs the V2's.

 

Running a HiBy W3II + ChiFi copy Lehman Black Cube headphone amp in the work office, and a custom USB only discrete R2R DAC + Talisman T-33H headphone amp at home which sounds significantly better so it makes sense to use the better headphones on that setup.

I believe they shipped but it’s very slow coming from Ukraine. I’m trying to be patient.

Well, 4 weeks will be the end of this week. Should be soonish then.

Pretty expensive item with no tracking or insurance, though maybe the details are held at the sellers end and not shared with the buyer in case of any dispute, that is quite common too.

Ok, the Verum 1's are definitely on the way now. Things understandably delayed due to the war. I will be nice to have and listen to these and of course I need to forward them on for a proper review as well  🙂

I am really excited to receive my Verum 2s. Still considering the Verum 1s as well but likely to wait until the 2s arrive before I hit the GO button on the 1s.

Yes, I'm super keen to get the Verum 2's also. The Verum 1's will end up living at work and I'll keep the 2's in my home office.  🙂

I love the updates we receive, the craftsmanship process is amazing. Really bespoke stuff.  Watching this morning update gives another sense of the design effort and build effort that has gone into these.  AMAZING.

I expect to receive the Verum I Mk2's today. I'll hang onto them a week so I can try them before forwarding on to @Jensway to review  🙂

Well, I've recieved the Verum I Mk2's. Box was severely crushed though thankfully headphones have no damage. They're huge but feel lighter on my head than the Hifiman HE400SE Mk2 and significantly more comfortable. At work with Roon ARC as my source > HiBy W2II > Chi-Fi Lehmann Black Cube copy amp the first thing I noticved in Norah Jones opening track: Don't know why on her debut "come away with me" album I'm struck with a weighty bass. Not annoying like Beats headphones etc though rather just a nice weight to instruments and something I've never noticed before which is accompaniment to Norah Jones voice on the chorus. Sound it open and relaxed, yet detailed and weighty which is unexpected given this Chi-Fi amps strong point is definitely not bass. Given the budget setup the headphones are sounding very nice indeed.

 

These have an openess and finesse to them beyond those other headphones I possess though to be fair I'm not much of a headphone guy.

 

It's going to be interesting to try this at home with it's far better custom discrete R2R DAC and headphone amp. Given with zero burn in I'd already say these better my Monoprice Monolith M1060C cans in terms of sonics I'm a happy camper. The far better comfort of these is also a very nice side benefit meaning I may actually use headphones for longer periods before experiencing headaches/fatigue..... Something I've always suffered from with headphones.

 

I'm very much looking forward to the Verum II's now given they're meant to be on an entirely different level

I can't get over just how natural these headphones sound. Really lovely and the sound chain is pretty basic. A lovely natural, rich sound. It doesn't sound fast nor does it sound slow. Everything is just sounding really correct. Very impressed.  🙂

OMG.... Through my custom discrete R2R DAC and Talisman T-33H headphone amp..... This is the best sound I have ever heard from any system bar none. Not just headphones, but speaker based also .This is truly mind blowing......... And it's only the Verum I Mk2's!

Regarding the Verium II's today:

 

Hello. As you all see from my updates most of components are made "in house" by me. Leatherette cases are one of the few exceptions.

Thanks to you I have a possibility to make a bulk order those cases. From my point of view I've chosen best balanced variant in terms of usability, protection and price.
