And finally all the way from Issaquah Washington courtesy of Audiophile Vibration Control Products , cable risers :D . File under tweaky.

Like everything audio, cable risers ranged from cheapish to ludicrous in price. Googling show up these guys with seems a really nice range of products not to badly priced although postage isn't cheap unfortunately.

Not sure how much impact on sound yet but hey they look cool .

Looking good Cafe. After all the tweaks, did you notice any audible differences to the sound?

Wow,I should ask for a spotters fee. They looked good and seem.very well.made . I could find any local equivalent. I toyed with the idea of making some myself with a jig saw ,but I'm.not that handy . They'd probably end up.looking carp. :)

Some of their other stuff looks good just be big dollars to get it posted over :(

Alrighty, system as it stands today...right now.

I think rocking  a retro vibe, with the big technics t/t matching the VU meters on the AS3000 integrated with the cds2100 and Confidence 5 looking suitability austere. All black and no curves here. Tricky to photo tho

For a little bit of modernity, interconnects and speakers cable are NordostFrey (oyaide from the t/t).  Power cables are Audio Principe and there is a Isotek Sirius power strip.

Quite to happy with the sound of it all, the amp is still fairly new. CDs come across nicely and the phono stage is very quiet.

Decluttering and matching components have  made for nice relaxed listening environment .

Yeah, I'm tempted to try something different, but so far so good. When I get a chance, might go have a listen to some, but it will have to be pretty special ?

Wow, Rowland to Yammy amp.

How's that going?

Any niggles of regret?

New speaker and interconnects from aurealis, I have used a variety of Geoffs cable before and always been impressed in dealing with him and the quality of his products.

R1 Dragons (75cm) and Litz 202 speaker cables

New cables mean good as time as any to pull components out of rack and wipe down and general tidy up. ( according to Sharon the only room, I do clean ?

you can see from here how big the technics turntable is compared the marantz gear, all is bloody heavy. ?

Damn good question, now that I have longer speaker cable I'm hoping to move them next the Falcons and a-b them.

The he biggest difference I feel at the moment is the bass - sealed versus ported , but that's not to say the Falcons are boomy. The treble and mid range on the Falcons is very good.

Redid the system with Nordost cabling ( let’s see what the fuss is ?

red dawn power cables, xlr , turntable and speaker with heimdall 2 turntable ( not available in red dawn.)

first up pull all the old cables out.

then plug in and tidy up the power cables, bit easier being a meter long,
then the t/t, followed by the xlr and finally the  speaker cable.

soundwise - very early days, but immediate impressions a more “expansive”  sound, bass seems good maybe more defined. I was worried that the sound might be overly bright , but not the case..

stay tuned.

Love the all out assault at change but wondering did you manage to borrow all of these to audition or have you had to purchase all of these cables to find out how they sound?

Good luck

Bought, there are some demo floating around, but not easy to get hold of.

my choices were  , I did toy with going all blue heaven, but decided to go higher, I did look at all heimdall 2 but that was expensive. So it was as described above , but now I’m sorta wondering should have gone red dawn for power cables and heimdall 2 for everything else, still a bit expensive. Oh well. ?

Well I suppose we do what is possible (affordable).

It is still courageous to invest in whole cable loom without audition so I hope it all works out well for you.
