Oh yeah, loving those, the KEFs sure make the old chrome end Gale 402s look tame.

IMHO at least it's a vast improvement of his PHOS CD player from the late 80's / early 90's.

It actually doesn't look too bad in the photo, but if you saw it in the flesh.....I saw a Black version of this at a HiFi show, looked really rough with silver riveting holding the case together.

This is relative to other massive pre pros with its 2ru height but the Acurus muses anodised black satin fascia and multi coloured display is pretty unique :) And why cant other pre pros have a classy easy to read white back panel ?

Love the look of these, though not really keen on the faceplate.

Faceplates/baffles catering for large AMT tweeters often look a bit odd to me.

I visited Addicted to Audio in Newtown (Sydney) and they've moved their existing stock further back into the store, and dedicated the front room to Naim and Focal. I thought the new Naim units looked good in magazines but it looks even better in person.

I did take this picture to show my wife, test the waters for a future purchase etc ... She gave me permission to sell a kidney to purchase. I'm thinking about it.

Was able to get hands-on with one recently. Went to a mate's house who had just had one delivered and tested it alongside a Lumin T2 I'd borrowed, his old Mytek Brooklyn Bridge and my trusty RME ADI-2 FS.

This piece of kit is utterly beautiful in finish and a brilliant performer.

I owned a stainless steel Phos for a while, definitely form over function but I still think it’s a gorgeous looking thing, especially from side on.

Yeah, the plain stainless steel version doesn't look that weird NOW, compared to some designs from others that came after it........But the Black version just looked sort of cobbled together, almost like a prototype, which I thought it was originally.

Dieter Rams was there first!

Chord amps for me provided a 180 degree change.

I used to hate the look of them, but now love them! Must be old age!
