I had it out of the carton, and setup in my system within half an hour! 😂

But l am expecting some prominent members, who are coming over soon for an unveiling, and didn't want to spoil the surprise! 😉

 

No l didn't pull legs off insects, as a child! 

Although my slug gun - - - - better not say any more!! 🫣

Half an hour is more normal audiophile behaviour. 
 

not sure where the bugs come into it. The only bugs I have encountered are system/software related.

In a word, yes l did use spectacular!🤩

 

It is beyond the limits of defining mere superlatives, it really has to be heard in the flesh to appreciate what it brings to the equation!

 

Hopefully some of today's attendees, will add their non biased impressions - rather than the babblings of a proud new owner! 🤔😉

aesthetix is not something come across so good to do so... ive always loved disc players and this is a good one ! 

 

Well made ! definitely some good engineering inside. and beautiful sound. good details, dynamics and body to it. excellent sound stage as well.

 

I have been over to evils place quite few times and have to say its first time i have seen him play a silvery disc... ! and gosh he has a few and couldn't stop.... 

 

as someone who loves CDs its great to see  

 

it also doubles as a dac for his streaming with some consistency of sound across both sources 🙂 something i myself started doing recently and its a great way to go 🙂

 

Godo bit of listening across CD and streaming and system definitely sounding but i have heard it ... and as someone commented .. we didnt even play any vinyl

As Al reported above, unusual to spend a few hours at Evil's and not listen to the mighty Helix / records.

That cd player was  mighty good and the synergy with the Hulgich speakers seamless.

Got to hand it to Evil, when he does a demo it is always satisfying.

I reckon tubes in the mix just imparts it's own form of magic!

 

Sorry about getting carried away, with pulling out CDs from my mountainous pile and putting on the Thelma Houston vinyl rip!

You guys were out the door in 2 minutes flat!! 🫤

 

Although it could be a valuable blunt force tool in future, when I'm beginning to wilt ! 🤔
