I've also Shedding The Past (2008) and The Killer (2012). All three are good. My intro to Shed was with The Traveller when it first came out about five years ago and it still remains my favourite.

Great I only know about Shedding The Past and didn't know about The Killer. Thanks for letting me know now I must find out about the two albums.

Great recommendation!

Such a beautiful cover, will check this out, merits a vinyl purchase for the photography alone. Makes me feel like setting up a darkroom again.

You bought the CD over the vinyl?     Not too loud I hope.

Hey metal,   I dont rule out owning both,   and intend to compare in due course.

1st and foremost,  the original masters are digital.    Salva Mea for example,  was provided on floppy disc (to A&B for remixing).

If they've butchered the digital masters on the 2.0 cd release with overcooked mastering,  and the vinyl sounds better,   then I will be making an informed decision about that.

If they sound more or less the same  (which quite a number of my records do) ,   then I will onsell the LP at a latter time,   and enjoy the music without the occasional pop or crackle.

It's great having choices,  and deciding the best possible format release,  for any given title.   It's not always a given the LP is better.    My digital front end is right up with my TT rig,   when mastering is equivalent.

Just finished both cd's back to back.

As enjoyable as the remixes were, the originals can't be topped.

Time to spin again,,,,,

Well Millsy

You have got me round to spinning some Faithless - 8pm. I was debating between this and outraspective. Original Cheeky UK 2lp pressing.  Zero pops or crackle, just music. :P   GOD is a DJ

Just waiting for one of my daughters to come into the room and yell at me to turn it down. :D

Excellent album, one of my fav this year. But which version?

For me it's trois couleur 45 rpm! Difference? Grande!

If you have heard the 33 first, it's quite a nice quiet pressing until you hear it on 45 rpm.

If you have heard the 45 first, the 33 is unlistenable! Dull by comparison to 45, all the sonic excellence are lost. Especially the B A S S. And all the subtle details which makes this album so enjoyable.

A few more clicks & pops, slightly annoyed but I am not too bothered. It is still a sonic bliss, audiophile heaven!

Got the 3xlp  45 rpm version. Sounds damn fine to me! :)

Speaking of 45rpm - well half of the 4LP box set.

Dave DK - Val Maira - 2LP German pressing - thanks Y.B.

The Notwist - The Messier Objects - 1.5LP with wonderful etching on side 4 - German pressing

2 absolute wonderful electronic albums, yet both are at opposite ends of how to make the music. Dave DK no doubt has pro tools and his electronic soundscapes are supported by a tight fast programmed drum beat.  The Notwist is old skool with pieces of sound seemingly stuck together to form an errie synth landscape that goes in and out of almost pyschedlic  beats.

Both highly recommended  :thumb:

< Stable Music presents an exploration of sound and light to lead your mind beyond an everyday reality towards the SIGNAL.

SIGNAL pushes the boundaries of modern electronica and questions what we understand of live performances. For SIGNAL’s return to MMW there will be a showcase of three live performances by artists who have never performed at MMW including Monolake, Echo Inspectors and Spilt Silo.

Monolake's futuristic and highly rhythmic music sits on the boundary of contemporary club culture with strong textural and drone elements. This performance will keep the audience on the edge. >
