Had @evil c and @Tubularbells over last Friday just to catch up after Covid lockdown. 
@Tubularbells seemed impressed with Zeus, the new amp built by @mwhouston. I’m blown away by it. 
@evil c offered some praise and the blessing that I may one day reach his level of audio nirvana if I train hard and focus. 
We had a great lunch and thanks gents for coming to say hello. Was finally good to see people face to face. 
Cat had a good time too.

Like ive mentioned to you personally (and numerously) over the past few days the changes you have made recently have paid massive dividends imo. This is one seriously capable system folks with frightening slam and dynamics the likes of which i sadly never quite achieved during my ownership of the JBL's.

 

This is about as close to a true concert level performance in terms of realism that sadly is about as close as we're likely going to get anytime soon during the lockdown.

 

Lunch wasn't half bad either ?

Yes it was a very enjoyable day after such a long sabbatical- the Holton inspired amp showed great amount of slam to drive the JBLS.

Too many jobs on. Haven’t had a chance to hide my cables or build my new rack since I moved house. 
Need to find a spot for the Maggies too

Glad to hear l haven't been totally a bad influence!,😉

Just opened up my ME850 as I never had with this one yet. It’s brand new inside. Rare for the foam not to be degraded etc. 
It came from the sale in Tasmania which also had a stack of these and a pair of Duntech Sovereigns which @kelossus smartly snapped up. 
There was also a pair of mono block KAS Krell the same as @Yamaha_man old ones. Whoever got those got the deal of the century. 
I was told he was a sea captain before he passed and never got to play the gear much at all.

There was some talk that all the gear was busted. Probably to throw people off. All the gear I’ve seen from that sale was mint. 🙈

Not yet. There’s another pair I’m thinking about but the US dollar will kill me right now

Kicking back this afternoon with my Holton amp kicking ass.

300w of relaxed and musical power.

This truly is an amazing amp and I recommend anyone looking for a project and sonic bliss for a really good price to try one. Happy to pass on the details about mine.
