Ok I am trying to work out how that is 270 degrees, isn't it 90. I suppose 270 if you go in the other direction but surely you din't when you moved them.?

And what are they building in your view? or are you building?

Can’t tell without seeing the left wall, but I hope this cured your asymmetry problem?

I love the (visual) transparency of the speakers. I reckon this an underused opportunity for the marketing of electrostats :)

But gosh, I hope that’s not a high-rise going up in front of your window?

How do your 'stats sound with the glass behind them like that, any impact to quality?

They’re about 80-90cm out. They sound very good. Open the louvres or drop the blinds and it gets even better.

two level townhouses are being built behind us. We’ll still see the trees over their roofline but yeah, not as nice as we had previously.

it absolutely banished the uneven stage rendering and improved many other aspects of the sound. People say the glass couldn’t be good for it but it sounds very nice to me.

Sorry mate...  an Op Shop find many years ago.  Made from 2 X 1 inch angle, with a small metal platform on top.  I've added a larger, DIY, MDF platform, bolted on top.  Cut down sections of  Whites pads between speaker and platform...  and between stand and garden paver.

I'm thinking of getting some made up, with slight change in height.

No matter how many speakers I remove from the room, the space quickly fills up again... and I'm running out of room.

The EV's...  Richter Dragons...  and Technics SB-1950, with Sony woofers.

Currently my selected tracks folder on the media player 3.5 out into RCA on the Technics SU-7200 amp, through modified Richter Dragons, using a very basic, inductor, 2 capacitor, temporary xover.

The Technics amp has just been serviced by another generous member, with 2 caps replaced.  Quite a strong little amp, and hopefully a good match for the Celefs I'm working on.

Agree, easy to have half a dozen amps but six pairs of speakers takes up a lot of room and impossible to hide from the wife.

Spinning some Winwood.
Fell in love with BITHL back in the late 80’s on CD when it was a demo in the little High Street shop I worked at in Auckland, NZ.

finally grabbed it used on vinyl the other day. Definitely nicer on the black stuff.

Evening Folks.

Moving the kit around again, splitting the rig into different systems now that the repairs are under way.

Edit - Oops, wrong button and can't add pics to this post.

I'm listening to Beck's Morning Phase wav files on the media player, optical out into the Denon AVC-A1, with modified ( crossovers ) Richter Dragons, and JBL Digital 12 sub.
