This is my first successful use of the Record Pi flattener on the following album which I purchased over a year ago which was warped and subsequently refunded. I've had the Record Pi for nearly a year as well!🙄

Judie Tzuke "The Cat Is Out" German 1st pressing (Teldec), Direct Metal Mastering.....sounded excellent.....and a bit more synthy than her previous works.

This record was severely warped and unplayable, now there is just a slight and very manageable warp.....the Pi did it's job well.👌

Judie Tzuke "Welcome To The Cruise" UK 1st pressing. When I played this the other night, I noticed some light hazing so turfed the cheap inner and replaced with archival inner and glue cleaned the LP. I can declare that with very light hazing, glue cleaning is a fix, I have had success a number of times now. The hazing is virtually gone and the record sounds fine. Glue cleaning will not however fix severe hazing, once it's past a certain point, it's a forever issue and replacement is the only solution.

Now glue cleaned, a relisten to recent arrival, Kate Bush "Never For Ever" 2018 remastered reissue, German pressing (Optimal). Sounds better and very good. Probably a little warmer and slightly less bright than original pressings which doesn't necessarily make it better....but it's still very good.

Kate Bush "Hounds Of Love" 2018 remastered reissue, German pressing (Optimal). Same series as the above so it sounds good but this copy has a bad pressing flaw on the second last track on side two, which I don't play. I got refunded fully for this 4 years ago but it led to me being barred from buying from 'groovesland' ever again as they didn't want to fully refund me but I rightly insisted that they do, however it had consequences.....so they can get ****ed. I really need to get another copy.

Cool. Ill have to look for it. Rudolph Schenker, brother of Micheal, was lead. You can actually hear those whammy bar dives and pulls. They sound cool when you hit a harmonic and do it. Brad Gilles from Night Ranger got into it as well as most guns from the 80s . Satriani went nuts with it. 👍

Last night:

Crowded House "Woodface" 2016 Back To Black reissue, Czech pressing (GZ). I've had this for years but only played it once due to a quite severe 'bowl' warp. Flatter now after a run in the Record Pi flattener but it needs another go using the inner pads designed for bowl warps, as after all this time I had forgotten it had this type of warp. Glue cleaning it now and that's when I properly noticed the style of warp it had.

Great album, probably my favourite CH album.....from having Finn brother Tim involved and the vocal variation his presence brings.👍

Recent arrival and now glue cleaned, Devo "Q:Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo" 2025 Rhino High Fidelity reissue, German pressing (Optimal).

Hard to notice if it sounded better than the first time as these Rhino HF's are so good off the bat.

Also now glue cleaned, a relisten to The Doors "Strange Days" 2025 Rhino High Fidelity reissue, German pressing (Optimal).
