The Floyd’s without Waters :) Delicate sound of thunder remix, it does sound nice, does anyone have the recent Pulse pressing? I have been tempted to get one but not sure if is worthy

This sounds amazing! And why wouldn’t it? According to Acoustic Sounds this is an AAA cut by KPG@CA.

I don't disagree, but it would be a mistake to discount Bert Jansch and Davy Graham.

I should have added "In My Humble Opinion".

I was listening to Drive By Truckers  - The Dirty South last night - man there was some pure southern rock magic when he was in that band

Dank Manuel, Never Gonna Change and Goddamn Lonely Love are far and away the three best tracks  - all penned by Isbell

Nothing But Thieves — Moral Panic: The Complete Edition

2021 2xLP LE Transparent Plum

Moral Panic II — A five tracks EP was released in 2021. This Complete Edition was released soon after. Perhaps due to only four tracks each side, this sounds a bit better than the original, which was already sounding pretty good.

From 1973, SOON OVER BABALUNA by suspected extra- terrestials CAN.
Mixed to 2 track and like many of their better albums, beamed directly from Planet Mandrax. This  is a sentimental favourite. How can an album be so barking mad but so absolutely right- more-so now than ever.

If you ever wondered what an ernest bunch of aliens dropping into a middle- eastern ganja party for french ex- pats sounds like- try the title track- loud.
What does a well lubricated bunch of nomads dropping into a Gypsy summer equinox dance party sound like ?

Thank you @scuzzii really enjoying this one, much different to what I am used to with this soundtrack - I am familiar with the Ella & Louis combination which I have on CD - Miles take is quite thrilling too. I need to watch the movie to see how it all fits in - found it on You Tube ..... an old black and white movie with Sidney Pointier - I am surprised it is not on the streaming services? Maybe it is considered  not appropriate now? Like how they removed "Gone with the Wind" from streaming 🙃

We are on the same page here brother!  this is a glorious mind melt

You listen to any UK 'prog' or 'psych' band (Floyd etc) after Can and it sounds like telephone hold music by comparison

I apologise in advance for the long post. Unfortunately, I’m going to have to stop using an affordable overseas store. The first two times I ordered from them I had no issues, even though their packaging was questionable. After these positive experiences I decided to order a few more records, which was done via a few different orders because of various sales.

The first of those order arrived after a few weeks and one record was very warped and would have been suitable for a practicing surfer, and the case of the other record was torn. Their response when I logged a ticket was “do they still play?” It took a couple of days of me explaining to them that it doesn’t matter whether the records play, I bought new records and expect them to arrive in a decent condition, and that it is on them to ensure they are packaged appropriately. I finally managed to get a refund and only because they could see “I was clearly distressed”.

The other order arrived and the label on the box listed three albums, which was odd as it was a thin box. Based on the previous experience and because the box didn’t look like it held three records, I recorded me opening this package. There were only two records in the box. The spines of the ones I received were slightly damaged but I could live with that. I advised the company that a record was missing and was told that they regularly split orders and I’ll need to get back in touch with them in a couple of weeks if it hasn’t arrive. Lo and behold it didn’t so I contacted them again and they posted a replacement. It arrived today.

Luckily it’s only a crease on the bottom right corner (see pic) and the discs play ok despite being covered in lots of tiny surface marks. However, I wouldn’t buy a used record in this state.

TL:DR buy locally!

I agree with you, however most local store are double the price so frankly unless it's something I want now and to pick up  - I am happy to wait and save $$.    Rarewaves has great pricing, however they send too may albums by themselves and they can can damaged in the postal system.

first world problems yes, but problems nether the less.

I actually agree with you. I hate seeing prices in stores over here when they are often half price online.  I’ll probably give the store another go next year. Maybe I just had some bad luck.

I decided to treat myself today. This is another band that I knew by name, but never heard any of their music until recently when a friend recommended them to me. There’s still a couple of their albums I need to check out but this one is my favourite so far.
