Ok so a girl cannot afford expensive Wines & LPs !!!!!

Dont Judge me OK? 🤣

so way I look at it is this -

wine lasts for 10 mins but the LP last me forever -

you can all say "practical girl is that April" 😂😂😂😂😂

LP is Aussie press

1978

from original UK stampers - so freaking good I to replay it and decided to devour with a tipple in hand :thumb:

Great post and sentiment😀

Though I'd have to say that I can generally make a bottle of wine last slightly longer than 10 mins - and certainly a fortfied(!) - but perhaps I am taking an overly conservative approach, happy to be corrected on this 😀

  • Very good cool climate wine and certainly good value compared to the Clonakilla flagship. Co-fermented with 5% Viognier. Has the classic Canberra Shiraz white pepper.

  • Had a great lunch at Oncore by Clare Smyth yesterday. Very very exe wine list, so did matching wines..  grabbed an extra glass of this Neb.   Views speak for themselves

Very nice, should be in the go zone........:thumb:🍷enjoy!!

Today's reno prep included clearing out old clothes from the walk-in robe, getting the TV off its wall mount and back on its factory stand, recabling everything at least 3 times.

I'm finished, spent, buggered.

Tonight's drinking will be macro. Higher ABVs and lots of them.

Peace all.

Heading out for a bite, the Farr Pinot smelt extremely intoxicating as it was being decanted :classic_love:🍷

Used to be one of my favs🤜 Colonial. (Who are going through the motions of removing 'Colonial' from their masthead apparently)  Though no longer considered high ABV by a long shot.

It would be par for IPA's these days.

7.5% is the nu normal up here in the sub tropics.

DNIEPA's beginning to rule the roost here as well and giant Stout's and weird arse Porters.IMG_20220828_161153069_HDR.thumb.jpg.3aa63ea447a623babbc3002b19caa395.jpgIMG_20220921_123127400.thumb.jpg.dcd887c3cdd1232b5e03ea15175b3c80.jpg

Higher for me means higher than stock pale at 4.5-5.5% which are my all day go-tos. I haven't done a restock in a couple of months, so all my NEIPA and IPA stock levels are below critical, or in fact, nil - too much other stuff going on in life.

I think I've got some Feral somewhere. Hope it's War Hogs.

Anyone in Vic might also feel like this is Sunday not Saturday? Needed to get my bearings. The sensation when the first gorgee hits the palate never gets old and reminds me this is indeed a Saturday night. Enjoy in moderation :D

After the disappointment of the AFL Grand Final I thought I'd better have a beer when I got home. Great choice, lots of coffee and caramels in a base that wasn't too sweet. Only disappointment - the last one.

I should be more clear, it wasn't the result, just the game was so one-sided that I left at 3/4 time. Robbie Williams in the pre-game was the only bright note (and worth the price of admission).

And then, to go with the lasagna (the Mrs CE worked on while I was at the 'G), we tried this. Lovely, inky black Shiraz, with enough tannins to show it could be laid down, but not enough to prevent us enjoying it now. Unfortunately, it was a one-off, from a $30 6-pack from Tahbilk earlier last year. I sure how the rest of the pack are as good!

Mother-in-law just booted out after roast beef, Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and all the bits.

Time to open something to help hasten the ebb of the parental bell-curve.

I'm almost down to my last case of this. It's spectacular for the $.

The Sorrenberg blend ages in quite the most sublime manner, I have 2013’s drinking like a very fine French Burgundy. Well worth laying them down.

I’m very much hoping to to have some last the distance but can’t help but spread the love for this vineyard, amazing stuff, not too much of it over here in the west unfortunately
