Primare NP5 streamer in great used condition. This is a MK1 version and was bought new in October 2020.
Originally used it with my Primaluna Dialogue pre/power combo (also for sale and listed soon) and more recently with a headphone setup (...also for sale 🙂).
Works well and never had an issue with it, although I trimmed a 'wing' from the power supply to have it better fit in my powerboard. This hasn't effected the function of the supply.
Happy to supply a Wireworld Ultraviolet 8 1m coaxial cable for $40.
Thanks!

I've been using the opticalRendu into a legacy Naim streamer(NDS) for the last 4 years, primarily to play Roon into the NDS via UPnP, I now have a Roon ready streamer so I don't require the rendu any more. It's powered by a Teddy Pardo 7V PS which is for sale also. Comes with Version 2.9 software update SD card., It's a great option for the first generation of Naim streamers that don't have roon ready. It would sound very good connected straight into a UDB DAC.
Also for sale is a Teddy Pardo 7V Power Supply.

Information From Sonore:
The Sonore opticalRendu project is an extension of the microRendu and ultraRendu projects that came before it. The design is inspired by audiophile gear and meant to bring grace and simplicity to a microcomputer. The original microRendu was very small and intended to be hidden out of sight behind your other gear. The opticalRendu can be powered by your favorite power supply. The opticalRendu has optical Ethernet input and USB-Audio output with all the connectors located on the rear of the unit for easy cable routing. The opticalRendu utilizes a new proprietary printed circuit board with only the essential components and many updates to match its optical designation. The best way to connect the opticalRendu to a USB device is via your favorite USB cable. The opticalRendu is easy to configure, accepts streams from various sources, and includes our latest version of our operating system Sonicorbiter.
Theres a lot of information on the Small Green Computers website about optical networking and Andrew Gillis is very helpful if you have any questions.

Graham Slee Majestic DAC/Pre-amp with PSU1 Linear Power Supply (230v).
Bought new from Australian distributor in May 2020.
Best DAC I've heard south of $5K (and I've owned a few!!). Full-sounding textures, balanced across the frequency spectrum, transparent, controlled yet powerful bass, excellent soundstage and imaging...Extended yet natural treble. Violins and pianos sound lifelike. An 'expensive' sounding DAC, in other words.
Functions absolutely perfectly, cosmetics 9/10 (some marks around USB socket in rear).
Never expected to put this up for sale, but I'm upgrading to a costly all-in-one server and need the funds.
Current AUD retail price is less than I paid—and certainly less than international prices for the Majestic.
Dimensions:
Width: 174; Height: 57; Depth: 188 (mm)
Weight: 2.6 kg packed - with PSU1, DC and power cords
6.35mm Balanced Variable Stereo Output (preamp)
RCA Fixed Stereo Output
RCA Analogue Stereo Input
Toslink Digital Inputs
Coaxial Digital Inputs
USB-B Digital Input
From the manufacturer:
Free From Harshness
What really sets the Majestic apart from similar pre-DACs is the lack of harshness in its sound.
It's what makes it sound so naturally musical: Its digital chipset is run 2dB below full-scale to prevent the harsh sound of "clipping"; and its analogue filters work differently to other DACs.
Its analogue filters sound more natural in five ways:
1. their inherently fast slew-rate captures every part of the musical waveform
2. their inverting* topology does away with common-mode distortion
3. the filters operate balanced to complement the DAC chip balanced output, cancelling noise
4. they use our ultra-linear technique which gives true 180 degree local negative feedback at the most sensitive hearing frequencies
5. the filters won't "saturate" and distort on the loudest passages
This means you don't get harmonic artefacts - alien noises - embedded in your music.
Those noises are the very thing that makes digital music sound so-digital and unatural. And is why you should compare how a DAC sounds with real music...
Direct comparisons between the Majestic and others reveals that something is missing - with the Majestic you don't get the harsh sounding artefacts!
Reviews:
. . . I tried running the CD42 direct into the S/PDIF 192k input. Holy crap what a difference... This was really a 'I can't believe this' moment. The thing sounded like the speakers had been taken out from their hiding place 1m apart on a shelf and set-up 3 m apart on proper stands – I can think of no better description – a system that really serves as background only became analytical and musical in one moment.
. . . I'd been using my beloved and modified Micromega Solo as CD player along with the Oppo - both using their on-board DACs. But then I swapped to using the S/PDIF output on both and once again I was simply taken aback by the improvement in sound. DACs make a difference it's true, but I can honestly say that I've never heard one that offers such a shift, and a positive one to any digital source I tried. With both (excellent) sources the sound opened up, the space between notes expanded and a level of detail and ambience - natural, never pushy – flooded out.
Doing back-to-back tests with the Audio-Note Zero DAC was very interesting because there was a certain similarity. Both were open and energetic, the Zero majoring on the latter, but the GSP had it beat on sound depth and spacial awareness generally. Bass was similarly handled with the GSP being a little lighter and more defined. The Zero did more wall-of-sound where appropriate, the GSP clearly superior with something like 'Take Five' in both 'space' and the definition of leading edges. The Zero is just a simple DAC – the Majestic a full function multi-source preamp, that they went toe to toe says an awful lot and I have to say that as a DAC alone the Majestic took the contest by a head.
Geoff Husband, TNT-Audio July 2015
This is a Rolls or Bentley with real wood veneer not carbon fibre, and super soft suspension, not spine shattering hardness. This product oozes quality and musicality with a useful analogue input thrown in. Yes, there are cheaper DACs out there, but this one is musical where many out there might just be telling you fibs
Janine Elliot, HiFiPig.com
I used a Clearaudio Performance DC turntable for analogue duties and my trusty Sony CDPX 3000ES on both the analogue and coax inputs to compare the DAC in the Majestic against Sony’s excellent own on board DAC. I have to say it was a close call between the two showing how good Sony’s original design was and how natural sounding and sweet the Majestic was with no digital nasties. My friend came over to hear the units and was mightily impressed. You could play anything digital through the DAC and it would sound very natural, dare I say analogue like.
Ian Ringstead, HiFiPig.com
Rendering of treble sounds is particularly notable. From new the treble sounded a little bright for my tastes, but it soon settled down to be clear, crisp and free from any “digital glare”. High percussion has a sparkle that’s never overdone and orchestral violins have a sheen underlined by the rich midtones that’s very appealing. In fact, much like a good moving coil cartridge. Speaking of which – as I mentioned in an earlier post – vinyl reply using the DAC as an analogue pre-amp was totally transparent and as good as you’re likely to get.

When I first listened to it I was overwhelmed by the clarity, detail and vibrancy of the sound that it produced. I couldn't believe that so much extra detail existed on familiar albums. why hadn't I been able to access this before? When you already think that you have something you think of as close to perfection just to know there is more available makes one very excited! I wanted to play all my old music to see what I've been missing!
- forum member: msphil
Firstly, at the risk of repeating what has already been said, my impression is of a very ‘grown up’ musical signature without any trace of digital harshness. I have not experienced that before from CDs or digital files. Dynamics, attack and timing are also spot on, nothing is overblown or lacking. It is extremely ‘realistic’ sounding Comparing to what I had previously, it is as if an enthusiastic shouty teenager has transformed into a full range adult performer. It doesn’t mean the former was bad, however the Majestic is much more listenable and absolutely without fatigue over extended listening sessions. The biggest surprise has been with lower resolution MP3s where the improved smoothness is really noticeable. That is a nice little bonus
- forum member: Drewan77
Overall I would describe the sound as smooth, valve like perhaps, but with considerable extension in the lower registers. It is not over bright in the upper registers, manages to tame the harsh sounds experienced from some poorer digital sources, but maintains clarity particularly with female voices and the leading edge of cymbal and snare drum strikes are really sharp. The bass extension gives good definition to each note, good articulation and no smearing of bass notes one into another. Detail retrieval is exceptional, as others have similarly observed with the Reflex. Previously unheard details such as noises in the audience or background become apparent. Soundstage is quite wide and realistic sometimes appearing to extend beyond the physical limits of the speakers and with well defined, stable imaging.
- forum member: BackInBlack
Nearly a week in to using the Majestic as preamp in addition to DAC. It's changed. Not enough "o"s in smooth to describe it (thanks for the line, Sherman Potter). Bass is tighter and a little deeper, but the extra texture (I use that word a lot in describing this thing) is a winner.

Mint condition, one of the last ever built (June 2020, confirmed with Naim customer support). Bought new in 2022, spent its entire life in a Naim system, in my home office, playing jazz, blues and the occasional country. No longer have the original box but will be shipped in a Tactix heavy duty case and the original box sticker will be included. Also included is the WA5 5dB gain Antenna. The power cable is a standard cheap one (never used it), I can include it if required.
The unit is a Preamplifier (with a pure class A headphones output) with digitally controlled volume, a high quality DAC and a steamer capable of Upnp / USB / iRadio / Spotify HD / Tidal HD / DSD128. Just add a pair of quality active speakers and voila! It can further be upgraded with external power supplies from either Naim or Teddy Pardo.

Please find for sale my naim ND5 XS streamer/ dac.
NB. the Naim XP5 Xs power supply not included in this sale.
I am the second owner of this fantastic sounding streamer/ dac and it has served me very well. The display was replaced a few months ago and the unit works as new, without fault or issue.
The remote control works as it should and presents as new. It has been wrapped in plastic to help protect it. The original factory packaging will be included and postage can be arranged at buyers expense. The photos form part of the description. Children and pet free home. Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions.
The ND5 XS is Naim’s second network audio player and its first to offer native streaming of 24-bit/192 kHz sources. It follows the lauded and more expensive (£2,995) NDX (HFC 345) that arrived in February, this year. It differs from its forerunner, though, in being built into the attractive, slim-line XS series case rather than the taller Classic series enclosure, but is similar in being performance upgradeable.
Upgrade options currently available include the XPS or PS 555 power supplies and the Naim DAC. We’re told that a matching low-profile power supply will be available next year, as well.
In terms of technology, the ND5 XS draws significantly on the established and Naim DAC (HFC 328). It uses the same innovative SHARC 40-bit DSP-based buffering with fixed clocks technology, along with 16-times oversampling and Naim’s proprietary low generated noise, digital fi ltering algorithms. The ND5 XS’s 16-times oversampling mode DAC is the Burr-Brown PCM1791A. This runs at a maximum sample rate of 768 kHz and can handle UPnP signals at up to 32-bit, floating-point, 192 kHz sample rates.
Naim’s choice
Like its big brother, the NDX, the ND5 XS adds far more to a system than just streaming. It can also be a digital input expander through offering three S/PDIF digital inputs to support digital connection of computers, set top boxes and CD players. This can be regarded as a ‘free’ upgrade if your CD player will benefit from an external DAC and few will have on-board DACs anywhere near as sophisticated or as painstakingly implemented as that in the ND5 XS.
Furthermore, the player provides access to internet radio, supported by the vTuner. five-star, full service. This provides useful facilities and organisational abilities including access to ‘Naim’s Choice’ higherquality radio streams, which include the 320kHz feeds from Radio Paradise and AVROKlassiek. There is also an optional FM/DAB module that lets users add terrestrial radio capabilities to the unit if they so wish.
The fascia of the unit is elegantly simple and features a single USB port, an OLED display and a matrix of nine control/navigation buttons. Naturally, though, these are not the sole means of controlling the device. It comes with a remote control handset and for iPod Touch, iPad, and iPhone users there is the free n-Stream app, which we consider the easiest way to select the source and music you want to hear.
The ND5 XS streams and plays WAV, FLAC, AIFF, AAC, WMA, Ogg Vorbis and MP3 files, either through its UPnP connectivity, or from a memory stick plugged into its USB port. The latter can also be used to connect an iPod or equivalent. Being Apple Authenticated, the ND5 XS will extract a pure digital signal from the iPod or iPhone to enable optimum performance from the device. Finally, fans of classical music and progressive rock will be pleased to hear that the ND5 XS offers true gapless playback of all formats.
Fine adjustments
The build quality here is typical of Naim Audio: the company obsessesover little details that clearly strike competing manufacturers as too insignificant to concern themselves with. However, the cumulative effect of all that fanatical attention to detail gives the ND5 XS a finesse that eludes its competitors. The sort of detail we’re discussing here is outwardly inconsequential: for example, exactly where and how the cable ties are fitted to a wiring loom; or the length and orientation of a wire between circuit boards. In isolation, these probably make the tiniest of tiny differences, but include another dozen similar fine adjustments and the cumulative difference becomes far more signifi cant and the result easily discernible.
In order to keep noise levels to an absolute minimum, the ND5 XS features galvanic isolation between sections of the circuitry. The power supplies for each section of the signal path are also independent. Four separate secondary windings feed four separate power supplies for complete isolation. These separate supplies provide part of the electrical isolation of the digital DSP section from the DAC chips and analogue circuits. The reservoir capacitors are larger than would typically be used to reduce the unregulated voltage noise and provide increased short-term current capability. Voltage supplies to many of the digital circuits are double- and, in some cases, triple-regulated to reduce noise further. When an external power supply is employed the supply becomes quadruple-regulated. It also provides a signifi cantly larger toroidal transformer and larger reservoir capacitors to increase the noise reduction.
Sound XS
We auditioned the ND5 XS mainly through a Naim SUPERNAIT integrated amplifier/Hi-Cap power supply combination and a pair of NEAT Acoustics Ultimatum XLS loudspeakers. The electronics were on Quadraspire Sunoko Vent supports; the speakers were on their own dedicated stands; while the loudspeaker cabling was TelluriumQ Ultra Black. It was also auditioned through an active, tri-amped, Naim DBL system.
The sound of the ND5 XS immediately makes one smile: the presentation is more than just hi-fi , it is communication at its most intimate and telling. Rather than analyse the sound, one’s instant reaction is to sit back, relax and simply enjoy the music. And that is regardless of whether one is listening to a baroque guitar quietly strumming the works of Fernando Sor or the challenging musique concrète of Edgard Varèse being played with vim and vigour by a full orchestra. Either way, the word finesse springs instantly to mind: the music sounds so natural and unforced with no ‘mechanical’ or ‘electronic’ overtones intruding on your enjoyment.
Similarly, the sound is clean, at both frequency extremes, and free from any obvious coloration or added emphasis.Instrumentation and voices on the 24-bit/96kHz rip of the eponymous Buena Vista Social Club album are pure and gloriously expressive, with a characteristically persistent but relaxed, Cuban beat. The top end is open and clear while the low frequencies have impressive weight and are sufficiently crisply defined to be rhythmically genuinely propulsive. Piano, that most telling of instruments, has weight, definition and absolutely secure, stable pitch, along with excellent transients and note shape.
The system produced excellent sound-staging, exhibiting incredibly accurately focused stereo images on Cassandra Wilson’s album, Belly of the Sun. The next surprise came when we played Moonshadow from Cat Stevens’ 1971 album, Teaser and the Firecat: the NDJ XS revealed both strikingly dramatic and subtle dynamic contrasts in the music that came as something of a delightful surprise. It should not have surprised anyone, however, after the Naim’s spell-binding presentation of a 24-bit/96kHz vinyl rip of Art Pepper’s 1957 album, Meets the Rhythm Section. This was a genuine ‘musicians in the room with you’ experience. The instrumental timbre was so credible and vivid, and the playing so vital and animated, there was no other way to describe the sheer realism that we experienced.
The final challenge was to see how well the ND5 XS fared with the bête noire of most music collections, country music… albeit the modern variety of artists such as Shawn Colvin. The portrayal of her voice, and those of other singers, was superb, and packed with expression and emotion.
Close to sublime
The performance of the ND5 XS is not far short of sublime and easily justifies its comparatively modest – in the scheme of things – price. It even holds its head high and exposes no weaknesses in the company of more expensive Classic components, which is high praise in itself.
Its ability to cope with 24-bit/192kHz streams future-proofs it for some considerable time and allows the lovers of hi-res to pursue their studio-master fix. The n-Stream app adds all the convenience to the package for which one could ask. In an appropriate system, the way the ND5 XS makes music simply makes you feel good to be alive. It must be said that the £2,995 NDX has the edge over the ND5XS in sound quality terms, but most people will find that their performances are very close: there are certainly no glaring night and day differences.
LIKE: We love the musical integrity and overall coherence of the design
DISLIKE: There is honestly little to dislike in this competitive package
WE SAY: A ‘starter’ product, its performance comes close to that of a reference level streamer

This must be one of best DAC produce during the early days of CD. It was cost around US$4000 when is was released in early 90s. The generation 3 is probably the best of Theta DAC ever produced. It still sound warm and relaxed and still can compete with today's high end DAC despite the technology improvement all these year. It is a rare come up for sale. So please take the opportunity to own this amazing DAC at such reasonable price. The DAC was check few years ago by technician and it was all good. The Arce is as new and the only reason I am Selling is I have upgraded too and received the new Denafrips Arcas streamer .
The Arce is a stunning sounding streamer that soundwise compares to the Lumins and Auralics without the high prices.
it doesn’t have the features though of those units. Dac/screen etc.
You will need Roon to stream Tidal and Qobuz and it has to be connected by Ethernet cable as it does not have WiFi, also it will not stream Tidal or Qobuz without Roon as yet but this is coming thru firmware upgrade.
So basically if your a Roon user and want the best possible sound without spending thousands this is for you.
It outputs USB/AES/i2s/Coax and optical to a Dac and also can be reclocked. Playback options also include
HQPlayer NAA, Airplay.
It also has playback of local files through USB, SD card, and NAS which I have not used so can’t comment on these options

I purchased this new from Len Wallis in Lane Cove in March 2014. Display of the NDX ( all the original ones failed ) was replaced under warranty by Len Wallis. I have upgraded to an NDX2.
THIS SALE INCLUDES A NAIM UNITISERVE SSD - NAIM music server that will rip your CD's 8x oversampling in a "bit perfect" fashion. The UNITISERVE was $4k alone.
This NDX has the DAB module ( a $700 option when new ) and is the option that I have used the most in all of my NAIM streamers because of the extraordinary digital radio selection and musicality that can be delivered over DAB. Do not make the mistake of purchasing one without this option..
This unit has always been on a NAIM rack and has been powered by either an XPS2DR or an CD555 DR power supply.
NAIM boxes and original packaging for both items.

Good condition, fully working with latest firmware, dCS network bridge for sale in black, with all original packaging.
This streamer is best used with dCS DACs such as Vivaldi, Debussy etc.. using dual AES. Has single AES and SPDIF coax for other DACs. Acts as endpoint renderer for Airplay, Roon, UPnP, Tidal direct, dCS Mosaic app.
Note this isn't a music server, you will need a different device to store files.

Have for sale a Cambridge Audio CXN-100 V2 in excellent condition.
Fantastic sound for the money and really like how it has its own personality.
As I also listen to a lot of classic rock/pop from the 70’s/80’s, this player has a knack of just making it sound right, never gets too fatiguing.
Plenty of features although I only used it as a streamer/dac combined using the Cambridge Audio streaming software and it worked brilliant.
All original accessories and packing included.
Will ship anywhere in Australia.

Linn Akurate DSM.
Made in Scotland and like all Linn products, is designed to last, with endless upgrade opportunities available if that's what you are looking for.
Performs role of streamer/DAC/pre-amp.
This has been paired with ATC actives, Dynaudio passives and most recently, PMC passives, and has been superb with all.
I will be sad to see this go as will need to spend big $$$ one day to get to this level again.
Original box included so can easily send interstate.

This one has Optical and Coax inputs (no USB). I've had it running in my main system and have been very impressed with it.
Power Supply is fixed output 12V DC, and it's matched to the DAC (see QC dates on the bottom).
I found this perfect with streamer as digital transport via SPDIF, and TV on optical connection.
Very nice.
I don't have the original box, but can box and bubble wrap for shipping if needed.
