I’m restructuring the second system so this is up for sale. I have exactly the same unit in the main setup and using it as a Roon end point.

I'm selling my Audeze LCD-3 open headphones of which I'm the original owner.  Built late 2015 so they're the Fazor model.  They're in VGC considering age, no issues to report. The timber is in excellent condition.  Used quite a bit for about the first 2 years, then have just sat there ever since collecting dust - which is why I'm selling them.  

The headband is in excellent condition.  The original foam ear cups perished, which is normal with all headphones (even hi-end like these).  They were replaced about a year ago with a quality set of premium sheepskin, but I haven't used them since so they're as good as brand new.  The bomb-proof carry case is included, with assorted OG cables (see photo).  I'll include some Australian hand made custom Aurealis XLR cables (mini-xlr into single XLR).

Sale price includes shipping Australia wide, therefore please don't ask for any discount or "would you take..." because I also have to pay sales fees. These are well priced for the legendary item they are.

I'm selling my Opera Consonance Reference 7 DAC streamer (actually it's a renderer) with tube output.  I'm the original owner and have loved owning it, but it's time to upgrade.  This company is responsible for the legendary Droplet CD player.  Simply add an app like 8 Player and away you go.  You can stream (incl. Airplay) services such as Spotify and Tidal, local media via home network or stored on an external SSD, and internet radio built in.  It is well built?  Well, this DAC streamer weights 18kgs!!!  And, yeah, the tube output stage is very, very nice.

VGC considering age.  There is a mark or two on the top which I've included in the photos.  Please note, one rear USB fails to work, and the second does work but has to sit correctly for connection to occur.  A touch finicky in setting up, but once done it stays in position.

After 2 years of happy spinning it's time to move this on. I have moved to a 301 and more of a digital focus.

This 401 is the desirable earlier version with the better motor and chassis. This 401 has been fully serviced, meaning it was sent the motor to CTC in the UK where it was serviced and the sintered bushes were replaced 3 years ago. All the springs have also been replaced along with the spark suppressors. So nothing left to do except a bit of oil every few months.

The plinth was built by Leviathan Audio here in Australia and the top plate is isolated from the rest of the plinth.

The bearing was also modified by Leviathan Audio and sounds very good indeed.

There is also an Audio Silente idler wheel fitted for even better sound!

There are some minor scratches on the corner of the plinth which I have photographed from a previous owner. I never bothered to correct this but the paint is automotive paint and im sure could be detailed to get it back to as new state. Alternatively some black pen would likely hide this unless under the magnifying glass.

For someone who is looking for one of the best examples of a garrard 401 in mint cond running perfectly in a statement plinth.

The table is located on the Sunshine Coast but I would happily deliver it 2.5 hours north or south. Shipping can be arranged at subsidized cost, I have a wood crate for shipping it.

It's very easy to clean with window cleaner.

I have the original wooden crate so can ship if required. However, it is quite large and heavy and would require a two-person lift.

The legendary 12” Sunfire Subwoofer driver with matching passive radiator.

These subs were part of the rare Sunfire True Signature Series 13x13 cube which had a 2700watt amplifier.

16hz - 100hz This is a serious driver. Extremely heavy and a huge double magnet.

Had plans to build an enclosure for it and run it passively but I moved house and this project never went ahead.

Thus this is a surplus to my needs. Can provide the original box if the buyer wants otherwise will dispose of it.

Hardly listened to these days as I don't have time.

Near New condition, very hard to find these days.
Recently upgraded to Goldlion KT88 tubes and Realcap capacitors.

Use it as an integrated amplifier and enjoy its qualities when whole, will be very difficult to duplicate elsewhere. If connecting to preamplifier the 88T is an even better amplifier.
Cayin A 88T's is big, lively and spacious Not only does the amp play music but it infuses the music with a delightfully addictive air of frivolity that makes it great fun to listen to.

The first big indicator that the Yamaha CD-S3000 isn’t a run-of-the-mill CD player is its weight: a hefty 19.2kg. With an overbuilt chassis befitting its price tag including a 0.72mm thick aluminium front plate, the CD-S3000 is built with the total elimination of vibration in mind. The drive mechanism is precisely anchored to the inert shell, and also features a high rigidity aluminum tray to reduce vibrations from the spinning disc.  In terms of external appearance, the CD-S3000 strikes a largely understated tone, with the black brushed aluminum face only broken up by a handful of controls and the glass display.
As far as features go, the CD-S3000 delivers about what you’d expect, and a few nice extras. Starting on the rear panel, you get a pair of balanced and unbalanced outputs, as well coaxial and optical digital outputs. As a useful addition, the Yamaha also boasts a trio of digital inputs (1 USB, coaxial, & optical) such that you can utilize the built in DAC of the unit for more than just CDs and SACDs. Yamaha is particularly proud of the CD-S3000's performance via the USB input, which supports the ASIO 2.3 protocol via the Yamaha Steinburg USB driver (available for download on Yamaha's website). This allows for higher throughput and lower latency than standard OS drivers and consequently should result in practically perfect streaming of even high-definition audio files from your PC. Moving to the front of the unit, the Yamaha sports standard controls for the player (play, fast forward, rewind, etc) as well as a source selector, layer selector (CD or SACD), and a pure direct button which disables the display and digital output circuitry. One notable omission to the feature set is the lack of multi-channel analog outputs; without these or an HDMI output, SACD is downmixed into 2.0 format and fed through the analog outputs.
Performance:
As you would hope for a product in this price bracket, two-channel performance should be reference grade courtesy of the ESS Technology ES9018 SABRE DAC. Nominally an 8 channel audio DAC, the SABRE is implemented by Yamaha with 4 channels per side; ESS claims this configuration will deliver over 130dB of dynamic range, quite close to the human limit of roughly 140dB.  The SABRE also features a built-in master clock which aides in the elimination of jitter. Yamaha has also taken extra steps to electrically isolate the internal circuitry, including separate power supplies for the digital and analog circuits. Together with the vibration reducing steps taken at the transport level, we’d expect the CD-S3000 to offer practically perfect performance.
Summary:
If you’re a two-channel enthusiast with a penchant for the finer things in life, the idea of pairing an inexpensive CD player with an otherwise top shelf system probably doesn’t sit right with you. If that’s the case, Yamaha’s CD-S3000 might be of significant interest to you. With strong potential to achieve (and potentially re-define) reference grade two-channel performance, as well as impeccable build quality, there’s not a lot to complain about.
