Maybe. But chef Ferran Adria from elBulli restaurant in Spain is certainly one of the most celebrated. His restaurant marries science with painstaking creativity. No paella here. elBulli is open only 160 days a tear and gets over 2 million requests for bookings - only 8000 are sucessful. If you are lucky enough to score a seat, expect to eat 30 small dishes and the bill to be around $400 a head. Adria has been around for a long while and id credited with inventing (some debate this) Molecular Gastronomy. Adria is currently visiting Melbourne. More details here
