Anyone have a Gaggia Classic or Rancilio Silva or similar in good nick they'd like to sell to me?

I also need a decent grinder - maybe a Breville smart grinder.

Edit: I'm just between rooms when I saw this, grabbing the tonearm before it runs too far into the centre of the limited edition  pressing of Beth Orton and then back into the kitchen to keep an eye on the authentic Macedonian prepared lamb cutlets marinading in organic Byron garlic and prostrate(botanically speaking) locally grown rosemary to be chargrilled using a few chunks of locally sourced European Cypress pine and a delicate jus featuring a King Valley Pinot Gris and............................................

what do I see but some inner city terrace dwelling type chasing down that essential kitchen bit of bling...an Italian espresso machine and grinder....

I'm glad I've hung on to my country values, meetings with the ladies at the CWA with cup cakes and scones and discussions of flat top akubra's and what a sweet boy Barnaby is.

Go the rocky grinder if you can. I sold my Sylvia and rocky on this site a few months ago. In terms of value for money and the coffee you can make it would be hard to better that combination for the price.

I don't live in a terrace.

Can't help but to suggest if you've tried coffee snobs? Silva is a regular in the for sales classified :) Good Luck.

Also the Lelit Russ as it has the grinder(and a good one) built in. smaller footprint in the kitchen

When a man of such knowledge, taste and all round general culture advises me I have to listen. But there's not many used ones of these around and I'm far too mean to buy new.

Thanks @@Nap250 - they're on my watch lists.

@@dwbc - yes I'm checking in to coffeesnobs - great resource. It's amusing to see grown men spending so much time talking about modifying gear, upgrades and 5% improvements for 3 times the cost. Oh, hang on its just like SNA.

Russ you're @@buddyev interrupting my fishing... but, if you do a search in the classifieds there was alelit for sale for about 5 hunge.

Yes, looks good but probably want to go for separates.

Don't drop yer phone.

Why separates? The burr grinder is very highly rated in that machine.

Hurry up @@buddyev - the clock is ticking, I demand good quality brew after being at @@Luc 's !!

Is the Melb hi fi thing confirmed?

Best to always be prepared, but this time I'd forget the pods and just buy an excellent coffee at the place under the bridge on glenferrie road.

Why not?

The rest of us will drink coffee though.
