Guest Muon Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I have not seen a Soniq yet that used a Panel even remotely equivalent to the Panels Samsung use in their own better quality sets. They tend to use bottom of the line panels or ones that wouldn't meet spec for the big brands top of the line HD units. If you look at the worst quality Samsung or whatever brand you want to name they are nothing special and at best only marginally better than the Soniq's and so on in the market Hence, until you can find me a Soniq using a Panel that Samsung would use in one of their top of the line sets [and you won't] I don't think your post is comparing apples to oranges. Comparing the bottom of the line models from big brands with the cheaper brands such as Soniq would be a fairer comparison but even then it would be a stretch to imagine that the Soniq uses a panel of equivalent quality. Not saying the SMPS, Main, and Tcon don't matter - but the Panel is definetly the major factor. That's all I wanted to know.....thanks
firefly0071 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Would it not be simpler to have a poll of which TV technology each person would want to watch porn (of whaever type) and then that would settle the question about OlED vs 4K vs existing TVs?

Hmm... I would have to go with a radio instead  , with the sound disabled
hyper Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Imagine how amazing the picture will be when plugged in to an isolated power circuit using a shunyata power cable. Only THEN will we get to see its true CLAC (colour luminance and contrast). Oh, I forgot to mention that presumably we'd also need an AudioQuest Diamond HDMI cable to reveal the true beauty. Otherwise it will just look a bit sh*t. http://www.amazon.com/AudioQuest-Diamond-feet-Braided-Cable/dp/B003CT08E4 Well when you grind them down to 1 buck above cost that's what they will try and do sell you all that and the 800 year warranty

The Porn Industry is at the vanguard generally in terms of technology so they would probably be one of the first to get into 4K in a big way. For example they were a bit of a role model to many internet start ups because they were one of the first major players to actually convince consumers to pay for content. 2

Monster cables and extended warranties. After all the manufacturers have zero belief in their own products with their 1 year warranties
