Oh how I wish Panasonic was still on sale in Australia, the Z95B would be on the top of my list.

The Duel panel Tech used, is similar, if not exactly the same as used in the Apple M4 iPad Pro.

This TV, could be the new reference TV for all to be judged against.

I saw Harvey Norman NZ had the full range of Panasonic TVs.

The easiest way might be if you knew someone in NZ and they sent to you after getting it delivered to their home?

Or, maybe you might want to give Panasonic Australia a nudge by giving them a call & asking if they’re might be willing to sell their TVs in Australia once more?

Actually that's not a bad idea.  Good thinking 99.  I would much prefer a NZ stock Panasonic over an AUS stock Sony.  Know someone who lives in NZ?  There's heaps of SNA members...

Freight will not be cheap with a high risk of damage to relatively sensitive equipment.  And if you can overlook that, there is import duty, custom fees and GST, adding at least 20% more to the price.

And the minor issue of warranty. 😢

Probably a better idea. Or start an online petition and publicise it here?

The conversion of the NZD to AUD makes freight even.  As for warranty, I’m more concerned about a Sony with warranty than a Panasonic without.

A call to Panasonic Australia by a Stereonet member ‘aint going to change a thing.

It took around a dozen emails and over 3 months to eventually get three screws that held the platter down, that were missing from the box of my Technics SL-1200G Turntable

I got 5 separate delivers before I got them from Panasonic, which are the Australian Technics distributor.

Panasonic gave up the Australian market because they didn't want to play the game Samsung did to gain market share [giving backhanders to sales staff]

I imagine with the state of the TV market in Australia, especially in these economically stressful times, quality for most comes a far way behind price.

You won't see Panasonic returning any time soon, that is UNLESS you get interest from High End installers who want to carry the top models, and arrange for that to happen with Panasonic Australia.

Similar to how only the top end installers are where you can source a Sony A95L QD-OLED.

How has Panasonic’s quality control been over the past few years?

I think for a unbiased take on Panasonic's QC, you'd probably be best served by visiting the Panasonic owners threads/section at the UK based AVforum.

Panasonic has never ceased being sold in the UK, so that's where the install base will be the biggest.

There are 2 things to consider here, firstly the quality of the product and  secondly the service / support.  I still have a Pana plasma (& BD player), and quality is good, but service and support can be patchy.

Is Panasonic quality better than Samsung (current TV), LG and Sony?  Maybe?  But luck plays a big part...
