@scuzzii your favourite album of hers?

i hAve Orchard was going to ad freedom /surrender!?

Yep, The Orchard is the standout.

Freedom and Surrender is very good, as is Grace.  But they aren't in same class (IMO) as The Orchard for having every song a great track.

Couple of others you may like,

Sara Gazarek - check out 'Hallelujah'

Melody Gardot - specifically 'Baby I'm a fool".

Malene Mortensen - a nice rendition of 'At Last'.

Renee Olstead - 'Summertime', 'Hit the road Jack'

Cheers

Expanding my British jazz collection with recent releases from

1000 KINGS - Raw Cause

Bassist Karl Rasheed Abel and drummer Kwake Bass, with an “unnamed special guest saxophonist” that may or may not be Shabaka Hutchings (who breathes just that extra bit of life into anything he puts his hand to, IMHO).

Get The Blessing ‎– Bristopia

Jazz improv, with rock beats., this quartet can be moody, or uplifting. Great stuff!

Led Bib ‎– Umbrella Weather

More raucous rock jazz. :)

And lastly, Moses Boyd - Displaced Diaspora

I'm a huge fan of Binker and Moses. Enuff said.

Dare I admit I found .orchRd and thereby Lizz while clearing space for .... more vinyl.
op shop pick up I think a few years ago. The detritus of a long ill gotten life.
It's worth $100 now if in mint condition. Good pickup!!

Malene is excellent. A Dutch singer who has a great voice for Jazz.

Desparado is a good album of hers.

Cleaning some old Japanese pressings that I've accumulated via SNA and Discogs. Most have been purchased from@maggie.

Sounding pretty decent.

First up are some Miles releases.

(I have a few versions of some of these so I've tried to show the different covers, 1st example is Relaxing with Miles)20190106_120013.jpeg20190106_120025.jpeg20190106_120212.jpeg20190106_120220.jpeg

Some more from the cleaning process

Sounding good.

I RCM them first, then ultrasonic, rinse, and then final vacuum with RCM. Stand them up and play each one before putting away.

Might be wine time soon and less cleaning..20190106_122357.jpeg20190106_120103.jpeg20190106_130322.jpeg20190106_130335.jpeg20190106_132800.jpeg20190106_132810.jpeg20190106_132827.jpeg20190106_133147.jpeg20190106_133156.jpeg20190106_133200.jpeg20190106_133208.jpeg20190106_133212.jpeg

John Coltrane - A Love Supreme

on bluray pure audio - stereo only - no video content

complete masters of Coltrane's masterpiece, including alternate takes, early live recordings and the album itself.

I only got it as I couldn't find 45rpm 2LP Analogue Productions release and "settled" for this. What a revelation!!!

Zippi

When you say you couldn't find it, was that in your collection or to purchase?

There is also a masters collection release that might be the same as your Bluray.

You can get it from Amazon or Jb.

@scuzzii I wanted to buy the 45 rpm release by AP, however could not find it except 1 or 2 spots overseas - super expensive and with astronomical postage charges. Wasn't specifically looking for complete masters, but during research I spotted the b-ray version of complete masters for about $30 and free postage from Europe, and thought may as well try this as AP search wasn't yielding anything. Have always known JB had a repress available, but I really had my heart set on the AP 45rpm release. Seems rare as hens teeth apparently
