Was this 5.1 or 2.1? what kind of price range are these DSP filters?

I found the Dirac output using a DDRC24 less impressive than when I got filters created for use in the DSP engine in Roon. This use of Roon then negated the need for the DDRC24 so it got sold on here. I found Dirac good but the bass and sub bass was no where near as well integrated as I have it now and I didn't like the way Dirac seemed to strangle the openness sounding of my speakers. Working with Mitch and Thierry got me precisely what I want and I can flick between filters at a moment's notice using my phone while listening.

 

I am now close to setting up a dedicated Mac Mini with an outboard sound card (considering a Lynx Hilo) which will do real time convolution on everything as it goes to my power amps.  I need to find the time to sit down and work on this before dumping some spondooli on the Lynx and weigh up whether this will also prompt me to sell my DAC and replace it with something less expensive as a transport.

 

I got my filters in 2 channel which addresses a 2.2 setup in my home.  Thierry's prices are on his website. You'll need to email Mitch to discuss his services.

I've got a copy of Audiolense XO to do this myself one day, but I've yet to commit the time to start playing.

Curious, did Mitch's and Thierry's correction filters end up sound much the same? Assuming same target curve of course. B

 

 

Thierry isn’t as open to playing with target curves as Mitch seems to be. You get different results which I keep as different presets for different types of material in Roon.
