Unfortunately, this is an unopened bottle. This is due to some misunderstanding around the concept of Xmas presents. That I believe you should be able to open them prior to the morning of December 25th apparently carries no weight in this household! Lucky I got to taste it before I bought my own Xmas present.

 

So you can see exactly what I will see for the next 17 days...

Opened an untouched bottle of several weeks vintage to share a bit of Christmas cheer...

Superb! My style of whisky by a mile! Even the guest whose not a great whisky drinker was suitable impressed with wide open eyes and growing smile!

Agreeable bouquet on the nose, hints of flat stewed fruit...not overpowering...not sweet...mouthful went down too easily...so smooth...did I say smooth?!? Like a new born baby's unpowdered bottom!

No disagreeable burn to throat and mouth...just a smooth alcoholic slide down into the black guts with no raw explosive after burn...just a hint at the back of the throat of lingering sherry cask...

Very, very nice quaffer!

I’ve been off alcohol and coffee since October, and was seriously considering unsubscribing from this thread. Doctor told me yesterday, they “shouldn’t have any adverse effect”, soo….best I follow doctor’s orders then.

I just lost almost 30kgs while still having a few drams every day.

Good on you for losing weight, mate. I know it’s a struggle for a lot of people. 
My health issues are due to a 25 year spinal injury. Just lucky I’m not a horse, haha.
