My audiophile journey started this year when i went to buy some headphones with a mic for skype meetings and bit of gaming budget was less than 500$.

I purchased AUDIO-TECHNICA ATH-AG1X from jbhifi, once i got home and had a look at them i was extremely disappointed with build quality and sounds compared to my old AD900. For the first time in my life i returned a product that i wasn't happy with.

Number of reviews on youtube had missed the mark with these **** headphones, as they were reviewed by people who have no clue about what decent set of headphones should sound and feel like.

So i took my 500$ and went to addicted to audio, this has been the best customer service i had received to date. They were very happy to let me try out a number of headphones and amps.

I ended up walking out with focal stellia... soon after i had ifi ican pro. There goes my 500$ budget..  I was addicted to audio...  Months later i decided to invest into a 2channel system and over the last few months this is where it's at.

  • Lumin T2 vs my old Node 2i initially it was hard to tell difference as I would need to get up walk 3m to change input.    So I moved the whole rack.... next to me lol.    Comparing

  • I think I'm done for now.    Edit.. Maybe just diffuser. Lol

  • Took these bad boys out of storage. Only issue is I don't have a amp to drive them.  Three years have gone past soooo quick!   Think i need to start only fans page to fund rest of the system

Quite an escalation.

Very nice

Most recently i have purchased Lumin T2, and to be honest i wasn't blow away with SQ. I was actually happy to go back to Node 2i. The apps that control lumin are inoperable on my android..

I decided to go ahead with trying out linear power supply mod because i am curious creature.. I got hold of Clay from Geisler he made up a custom power supply in ONE day.  People here cant twist couple wires together and terminate it in a week lol. Extremely impressed with Clay.

I was skeptical with my purchase, i couldnt hear any difference in power cords 20$ vs voodoo and isotek evo3 elite. Even different RCA cables i could hear very slight difference not worth 6x price to me. Is this what audiophile is?

I took apart a few week old Lumin, conntected up the new linear power supply.  To give you an idea Lumin switching supply weighed 170grams, Giseler supply is over 2kg.

How did it sound? Well instantly i noticed that system was louder! so i tired to turn down preamp to lowest setting i could.

This was my comments to Clay..

"This is without doubt best system change ive done todate, it feels like the sound stage has increase, better seperation, bass feels more punchy and i am certain that there is less noise, it is much cleaner sound...."  Even my girlfriend commented on sound the following day, she said it sounds like it has more body to the songs.

Imagine below you can see Gieseler power supply compared to Lumin at bottom.

Edit, i love Lumin so much now that i am going to buy ipad and try run the apps with that.

I was going to list them few weeks ago, as they havent been used for a while now. But they sound so damn good! Really gives speakers that cost 30x more a run for the money.

Maybe at a later date, ill get cheap amp to run them for movies.

Im building funds for some speaker cables and P15. ?

Please burn in the T2 by repeat playback 7x24 for several weeks.  Turn off the amp if necessary.

There have been multiple updates for the Android app.

Not too shabby for a starter setup! What are you going to buy when you get serious?

Ive done just that i was aiming for that 400hr burn it time.

I should note that the app progress is worthy of a note. I have notice very frequent updates. Major update was going to version 3 from 2 that has seen app speed double. Stability is still a major issue, however i havent had success with any other apps like Kazoo so i understand this must be a challange on andorid.

Great setup, glad to see you get things better and better and can hear difference ?

Bit of an update, I haven't realy made any changes since last post.

I started recently playing with rake angle along with new spikes and got some cable raisers on order. Just to clean things up.

Hey mate,

just 3 or 4 aside, So 8-10 of the smaller separators. Beverage tickets can be provided if that is helpful.

Ray

That cable riser looks great hey!
I think there is even more sonic goodness to be had if you’re able to get a riser as such...

I did the blind tests with great confidence.
