Peter Gabriel - US

The follow-on 33rpm release after the 45rpm ltd editions.

This is my fav PG album, so I have a few of the 45's. Thought id see what this is like.

Same as So, where i have the 45 and recent 33rpm releases.

45rpm's are a level above the 33rpm's IMO.

this is good and a great option for ppl who missed the 45rpm's.

By coincidence I'm actually listening to So at the moment.

Only the 25th anniversary CD remaster unfortunately (the non-remaster CD was unlistenable.... ) not the 33 let alone the 45 (Lucky bugger !! ).

Still great artist though !!

Great album.

If you're in Sydney i can lend you the 45rpm. So sold out quickly and i just have the 1 copy of 45rpm.

Have a few original release and the latest 33rpm.

I have the SACD of them as well you're welcome to borrow.

Or come over and listen !

Thank you I appreciate it. :)

Will definitely have to schedule some time to visit Chez Scuzzii next time I'm up in Sydney !!

Apart from that not long till November now.

Hopefully all will work out for you and Greg to make it out to Berwick.

Felt like some funky bass beats; went scrolling through my library and these guys caught my eye. A few selected tracks from Picture Book and A New Flame, then the whole of:

Simply Red- Stars

They're a bit cheesy at times, but the basslines always kick butt! [emoji38]

SQ is exceptional BTW, a lot of work obviously went into recording/mixing/mastering [emoji106]

Tangled Thoughts Of Leaving - Deaden The Fields -- spotted this CD today in the op-shops. A Perth outfit that do a mix of post-rock, noise, metal, and everything in between.

They're pretty good live too.

The first time I saw them, supporting Sleepmakeswaves, I just thought they were okay.  But when they supported Boris, they killed it.  Not sure if that was just the smaller venue, or whether they stepped it up a notch and were just playing heavier (they did reckon it was that because of Boris ), but it was a damn good set.
